Oh, and for anyone that may be interested this:
http://www.esquire.com/features/megan-fox-photos-interview-0213
is being described in Australia as the worst ever celebrity interview and to be fair, they have a point. (Warning: contains pictures of Megan Fox in her pants).
It really is hard to describe how toe-curlingly bad it is without you reading it. I keep trying to find snippets to quote but they don't work out of context.
I can't read the whole interview. It is as though a psychology fan who also happens to be Megan Fox's personal stalker has interviewed her while on an acid trip. Truly bizarre. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Supper can be a mixed plate? QUOTE]
Good news on the new wheels Miss K. Can you explain what a mixed plate is?
Sorry, it's just something I use for when we can't decide what we want and throw a selection of random stuff that shouldn't work together on a plate. So whatever we fancy and any leftovers. Not a proper name for anything
Today is a gloriously sunny day but to make up for yesterday, I am now going to mark 5 project reportsNeed to take the car out so I get used to it before rush hour tomorrow. I've got wheels

With my daughter, Sarah Beth gives me the look because sometime I wind her up, unintentionally I can assure you, and then I get it.
I think that maybe being brough up by older or more mature parents that may have a bearing, not sure.
not sure it has bearing on age of parents, mine I think we're probaly the oldest parents to age of new born on the thread.
I am also familiar with the look. I think we all do it sometimes. Exchanging looks and reserving criticism just for a mother, who my feeling is has been a good and commited and loving mother and that sort of combine forces against.....no, I think that's a step beyond ' the look'.
Sorry silvercar, I don't mean to be rude about your family, and I do apologise sincerely. But it's made me a little cross because I don't want you to have that experience from sons who are I am sure in other respects lovely chaps.
Imagine if they treated their wives/girlfriends so.0 -

My kids and I call that "plate of things".Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
In my family it goes by the name of 'mish mash'
In mine it's just called dinner. I think it comes from the point where we all know what the 'right' way to put a meal together is, the perceived wisdom, but our tastebuds actually prefer something else. For example, I could eat mint sauce with pretty much everything. I could eat some form of tomatoes with just about anything too. I don't cook it often because it is a coronary on a plate, but spaghetti in satay sauce with chopped cucumber and fresh chilli is delicious. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? What's the name of the Baron-Cohen who doesn't prance around in a mankini but is a professor? I think he suggests that there could be a link between Aspergers and families with very logical brains such as engineers. Who knows, I'm guessing that there is much to be discovered in this area as yet.
I was 26 when middle son was born and 27 (nearly 28) when youngest was born, so not really old (dreams back to those times when I could say I was in my 20's)
I have a logical brain as has their father...so might be something in it, mind you, I do know of those who have children with autism who appear to have a very illogical brain too!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I usually call it a mash up or potluck...boys have difficulty though because they don't cope well with things that usually go with something else, being on a plate with something completely different. We made it! We use pot luck to mean when you go to a gathering or a group and everyone brings a 'pot' of something.....but you don't know if it will all be different or whether it will be five chillies and a chilli pasta bake...0
