Pastures ...you should log off now, have a bath, a cup of cocoa and go to bed. You've got school in the morning.
Go on...off you go.
I'd end up waking up at 4am.
Anyway - I've no cocoa
I do have to have a bath and wash my hair in a bit though ... meant to do it earlier.0 -
I never see the point of washing your hair in the evening. Wash it in the morning and then it should stay in shape for the day.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I will be 3 years younger than one of the birthday boys.oh b%$^%&, need to start some workAlso builder turned up today and was lingering when I wanted to get on with dinner and things so kids could sleep in time for school tomorrow.
I am very glad Spirit is enjoying such a great relationship and LIR better health.I think....0 -

If i posted lots of hugs like they do in other threads, ((((((chewy))))) I doubt it would make you better. I could suggest echinachea, but your prob the sort of man that doesn't believe in homeopathic medicines. I was on the phone with fc123 earlier. She's been away and is back and intends to come here later to catch up .... but said that if she didn't get on then to say "Hi!!" to you all. So I am posting that "Hi!!!" just in case she doesn't make it later.
If you hear from her again soon, say "Hi" back from me, please.Whilst you look young and beautiful I am not going to believe you are only 9...
You beat me to saying that!
Chewy, look after yourself and get better soon. Hope it's a quick one and not one that lingers for ages.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I would say, I'll only have to do this 2-3x tops this week..... next week I'll not be bothering to straighten it and can wash it in the morning and it'll dry with the car window open and the blowers on
I'm dead common like that.0 -

:hello:
I have only gone back 3 pages so am waaay out of touch with everyones news but got a quick update with PN on the 'phone.
I hope everyone is well and I am v happy that Lir is feeling back up to par....mind you, how many tasks done today?? That sounds like suoerwoman to me.
anyways......our trip to Canada was great and to catch up with cousin and his kids, see my uncle (who is not in a good way now) etc...I am really glad we made ourselves take the time out to do it. So easy to have just out it off.
I am still 'suffering' bits of drama that seem to be eating up my 'spare' time (ie my hanging about on / posting time ) including our neighbour suddenly dieing last week. She had got to 93 and was very spry. Felt a bit unwell and then 2 days later dies.
This means new neighbours....and we were the last new neighbours to move into our dead-end (Cul de Sac sounds so suburban) 16 years ago.......apart from new vicars every so often at no 1. The CdS was built in 1968 in the grounds of the vicarage and No 1 has always been owned by the church.
Shocking guide price on it though...I thought there was a crash....and it's a 'modernisation/quick sale price too.
What have I missed?0 -

you're right, i sneer at homeopathic medicines, and even if one made me better i would declare that it was the placebo effect. i am on my sixth lemsip of the day now, the sheer amount of paracetamol has at least killed the headache.
obviously i will be going into work tomorrow and making sure that i sneeze into the air conditioning system.0 -
What have I missed?
Nice to see you back. I got that 2nd name sorted out .... which involved listening while the hind legs were talked off a donkey.... but I've got my 2 names for tomorrow
Cheers, I owe you one. I'm guessing the chips are on me next time, as you did the honours last time (allbeit a bit of a palavar).0 -
- Do not pass it on to mrs chewy, she has enough to put up with. Sleep in the spare room.
- If you find you cannot sleep you might as well make youself useful and do the ironing.
she gave it to me! at least that's what i've been telling her - she is protesting innocence on the basis that she doesn't have a cold.
instead of doing the ironing i have been wallowing on the sofa complaining, whilst she ironed me a shirt for tomorrow.0
