I am thrilled today. It's like 'I' am back.
Today we.....cut the grass in the front, the back and the track to the Cake, weeded some garden, planted out some wall flowers and pansies, um...cleaned out the big and the small chicken house, walked the dogs, went to buy veg at the suppermarket, planted two trees, did the horse barn, dh did a tip run while I did some laundry and cleaning, opened windows and did an airing the house dance, closed the windows (one is a two person job), brought a little wood in, cut down the wild flower bed (has to be done) and started raking it and weeding it (still more of that to do). Cut down the hollyhocks....they were on last legs, and finally ....found the light up flashing balloons we bought for pennies after last Halloween ready for this one.
I am girding loins to make supper, and I want to clean out two drawers and spend some time tidying the room with dh ( mutual stuff I cannot take unilateral decisions over)
None of those are big or not routine jobs of course, but they are ones that have floored me for months now, yet I have done them today and reached the end of the day not weeping with exhaustion (or just asleep) and still feel ready for more and not to tired for some meaning ful time with dh. I do npot have any extraordianry pains or crises of health and I am feeling excited that now is good for me. I would not mind doing some yoga, try and find some opforgotton muscles and give and support for the poor old bod) but I don't think we will have time.
I am also really ready to have the bath back. A soak in a bath would be just the ticket now, to feel scented and softened and rejuvenated, but it's a want, not a need as it has felt this summer when my body hurt so very much and I wanted to bath it to ease pain, now it's just a 'nicety' so I can cope without.
That's awesome lir. So happy for you. Long may it last. And I hope you make the most of the time with fir before he has to go back off to work.lostinrates wrote: »Missk, I bought a Christmas gift on eBay today so I don't think it's too early.
I got a cuddly meerkat in the post from my house insurance renewal and have hidden it to use for one of DD's Christmas presents. (Don't worry I will get her some other things as well.)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I've already given my mum her Christmas present :rotfl:
We don't really do Christmas/birthday presents. If something is needed or on a good offer, it gets bought.0 -
Happy birthday to your son, Lydia. My darling husband is 55 today.
Happy birthday to your husband, then, Spirit. I wonder what he was doing on his 43rd birthday as I was getting to know my new baby (born 7:15am).Do you know anyone who's bereaved? That is fabulous. A day such as you describe is a real holiday from ill health, just doing the chores is a joy. I am so pleased for you.
Now the mumsy bit.......don't go overdoing it0 -
Happy birthday mr spirit and lydia's DS0

Spirit, overdoing it might be laughing it along at dh doing Russian dancing along with fiddler on the roof. I am so envious of being able to move properly, and he is loving having me laugh
We have also had perfect supper, fresh yummy crudite and hot delicious bagna calda, then pan de queso and a bottle of gorgeous cotes du rhone, now chestnuts.0
