Happy birthday to both the birthday boys.... mine's not too distant now, although I never announce it here as I feel that's too 'personal' a detail for such a public forum.
I will be 3 years younger than one of the birthday boys.0 -

Anyway .... it's getting later .... and so I have a message for you all.
I was on the phone with fc123 earlier. She's been away and is back and intends to come here later to catch up .... but said that if she didn't get on then to say "Hi!!" to you all. So I am posting that "Hi!!!" just in case she doesn't make it later.0 -

That sounds delicious.
We have also eaten well today ..but a more traditional meal.
We had family for lunch and Mr S chose what we would eat, I chose the wine.
Just two courses...but lots
Roast sirloin with yorkie puds, roast potatoes, roast sweet potatoes, roast turnips, roast parsnips - carrots and broccolli , gravy & horseradish. Puddings - suet pudding with treacle, apple pie & cream
We drank cote de beaune villages.
After a walk we came back to birthday cake made by DD.
It was all very proper. I feel very happy today, not smug, grateful.
At one point in the day I drove past him whilst he was out walking with our dog and his 7 year old great niece - I just looked at him and could not believe my luck in having such a lovely soulmate.0 -

Today I've had: A pizza. Had that at 11am as I decided I'd eat less if I ate it early and called it "early lunch", otherwise I'd have had breakfast then, some lunch a bit later and the pizza for tea....
Might have 2 crumpets in a bit, but it's getting late so they might be breakfast.0 -

- Do not pass it on to mrs chewy, she has enough to put up with. Sleep in the spare room.
- If you find you cannot sleep you might as well make youself useful and do the ironing.
