Good luck chewy.
We planned a night of passion down stairs by the fire but resident parent has decided to come home so...no downstairs passion tonight. Unless parent turns in early.0 -

The problem is at Grenoble apparently, although since they haven't finished de-icing the plane yet I'm not convinced! Not sure why they haven't finished as the plane has 2 inches of snow all over it so it was clearly here all day yesterday as it didn't snow overnight.
There is no point de-icing too soon as the de-icer runs off and control surfaces can then refreeze during the expected 60 (cough) minutes wait for a take off slot.
See I did learn something whilst working on ground ops at LHRI think....0 -

Please take some tablets, they will make you feel so much better.
I've noticed that the supermarkets now sell value range of paracetamol, aspirin & ibuprofen. Works out in the range 1p a tablet, so no excuse not to have in stock.0 -
Lydia you have to remember my Daughter is 25!!!! It is carrier bags of 'stuff' walking in the house in wellies, not wiping the dogs paws when he has been walked somewhere muddy, hanging coats that smell of mucking out up in the hall (we have a rack in the utility for dirty coats) wet towels and clothes all over her bedroom floor, never dejunking, and pilles of ironed clothes dumped on the floor, puttin washing on then leaving it in the machine. Having said all that I feel much better as she does leave the bathroom clean and mostly tidies up after herself in the kitchen.
Mine is 9 and hasn't begun to think about how she leaves the bathroom yet. I do have to say, though, that she is beginning to improve as far as the kitchen is concerned. She made a cake the other day as a surprise for me. She did all the measuring and mixing, and then took everything she'd used over to where the DW is and wiped down the surfaces before summoning me to see the surprise and put it in the oven for her.
Dejunking is impossible for her, though, because she's hypersensitive to loss, poor kid.Ben would appreciate the cuddle - he did the splits in the snow yesterday and is limping today, he is very loving and great company although prepared to switch allegiances for the price of a mini bonio.
Give your poor limping boy an extra special cuddle from me. Avatar-dog was also called Ben. I still miss him.Your have been very diligent completing your marking on a Friday and now deserve an unfettered weekend off.
I might even try to do some sorting out of my house! But I am taking things slowly and having plenty of rest. I have packed DD off to go sledging. Next door have an adult with the energy and good health to go sledging, but no sledges. We have sledges, but I have a cold. Mutually beneficial arrangement obvious. Now my next tasks are to wash my hair and try to sort out the problem with DS's phone credit.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I'm now well enough to be safe with a kettle, so I made a lemsip.
I have to be well enough to go to work on Monday - there's no sick pay where I work.
Most of that advice on the 2nd link wouldn't work, some of it seems to rely on somebody else being there to keep an eye out etc, and some of it relies on you having a freezer, that also contains ice cream - and some of the advice would require a lot of food shopping to be done, for things that I've never ever bought ... and then prep. It's advice for people looking after people, not for those that aren't well
I'd like a shower, but I can't guarantee I won't get dizzy and fall over/out, so I can't have one until my head's stopped spinning - maybe tomorrow.0 -

1)Buy Ibuprofen and paracetemol.
2) Take the adult dosage (written on the packets) of each at the same time.
3)Repeat at the intervals suggested on the packet. Usually not more freuently than every 4 hours.
4)The packets will say a maximum number you can atke in a day. Do not take more than that.
5)The paracetemol will relieve your temperature and fever. The Ibuprofen will reduce joint pains.
Each type of drug will help on their own but taken together you will get most relief from your symptoms.
Because I have to take a lot of daily meds I am reluctant to self medicate, but I will do this when I am full of fever and cold as there is nothing heroic in suffering unnecessarily.0 -

If you read the lemsip box it will tell you what is in it. It may be paracetemol.0
