We didn't get the expected blizzard of snow, in fact, we didn't get the snow at all bar a few wispy flakes!
That's the thing about where we live, if they forecast heavy snow, we usually miss it but if they say we are only going to get a little or none at all, we get loads...they can never get it right for us.
I checked the attendance allowance award letter my dad got and my mum was right, there is no end date, just says you are entitled and when from but nothing about how long for, so wondering if this is an indefinite award? It would make sense if it is as dad is being treated for heart failure now (shush, don't tell my brother or sister, they get eek about things like that!)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Paracetamol, 500mg tablets, can be bought for around 20p a packet.
Adult dose is to take 2 tablets. Maximum 4 doses (ie 4 x 2 tablets) in a day. Can be taken every 4 hours subject to daily maximum.
If you do nothing else then do paracetamol. Helps with temperature, pain and generally feeling ill.

If you read the lemsip box it will tell you what is in it. It may be paracetemol.
It is. Don't take at the same time as any other paracetamol.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Brilliant! I'd still have been procrastinating about it all weekend. You really are a marvel, Lydia! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Sue. Once you've been awarded attendance allowance, you get it for life. I've never heard anyone having it stopped. I managed to get it both for my Dad (when he was alive) and now my Mum.0 -

Dad was initially awarded it for 2 years, this was the renewal. We made it! It does:
http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/aches-and-pains/medicines/lemsip-cold-and-flu-sachets.htmlHow does it work?
Lemsip cold & flu sachets contain two active ingredients, paracetamol (650mg) and phenylephrine hydrochloride (10mg). They come in three different flavours: lemon, blackcurrant and breathe easy (menthol flavour).Warning!- An overdose of paracetamol is dangerous and capable of causing serious damage to the liver and kidneys. You should never exceed the dose stated in the information leaflet supplied with this medicine. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose with this medicine, even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage.
- Alcohol increases the risk of liver damage that can occur if an overdose of paracetamol is taken. The hazards of paracetamol overdose are greater in persistant heavy drinkers and in people with alcoholic liver disease.
- Do not take this medicine with any other products that contain paracetamol. Many over-the-counter painkillers and cold and flu remedies contain paracetamol. It is important to check the ingredients of any medicines you buy without a prescription before taking them in combination with this medicine. Seek further advice from your pharmacist.
- If symptoms persist despite treatment, seek medical advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
We become blase about OTC drugs. A mate of mine was taken by helicopter to hospital from a day out at the races. The reason? His dentist ballsed up his prescription so he was taking a double dose of ibuprofen for 2 or 3 days after having a (wisdom?) tooth out.
Don't start sloshing back the lemsip. If you need something extra you can mix ibuprofen and paracetamol so take an ibuprofen AIUI or you can make honey, hot water and lemon juice (a lemon juice/vitamin C overdose will cause nothing worse than diohrrea, a honey overdose might cause diabetes I suppose but not for a while!).

I'm now well enough to be safe with a kettle, so I made a lemsip.
I have to be well enough to go to work on Monday - there's no sick pay where I work.
Most of that advice on the 2nd link wouldn't work, some of it seems to rely on somebody else being there to keep an eye out etc, and some of it relies on you having a freezer, that also contains ice cream - and some of the advice would require a lot of food shopping to be done, for things that I've never ever bought ... and then prep. It's advice for people looking after people, not for those that aren't well
I'd like a shower, but I can't guarantee I won't get dizzy and fall over/out, so I can't have one until my head's stopped spinning - maybe tomorrow.
I think that a big group hug will help you and note the comments of Generali, common sence at all times with medicine and I think that you have a fair share of common sence:grouphug:0 -

Ibuprofen is fine. Take 2 tablets (standard adult dose). I think they are 200mg tablets.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
