I don't know if any of the nice peeps remembers an incident a few years ago when donkey salami was sent for sale in the UK by an Italian(?) meat company.

The boss went on the Today Program where he was presumably meant to give an apology. He said that it was a terrible mistake and he was very upset that it had happened. He went on to clarify: donkey salami is an expensive premium product and should never have been sent to a country that was unable to appreciate it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I don't think I've ever heard an interviewer on the Today Program reduced to silence before. It was an interviewee's finest moment apart perhaps from BoJo who, when asked to apologise by the local MP for having said there were too many drug addicts and Socialists in Portsmouth responded by saying, "Do you think there are the right number of drug addicts or Socialists in Portsmouth or not enough?".

I bet you she is not as bad as mine in that regard. :( Does yours persistently get ketchup and cucumber ends on the carpet? I have been reduced to banning mine from certain rooms until she can improve a bit. :(

Spirit, I want to cuddle your dog. :)

Lydia you have to remember my Daughter is 25!!!! It is carrier bags of 'stuff' walking in the house in wellies, not wiping the dogs paws when he has been walked somewhere muddy, hanging coats that smell of mucking out up in the hall (we have a rack in the utility for dirty coats) wet towels and clothes all over her bedroom floor, never dejunking, and pilles of ironed clothes dumped on the floor, puttin washing on then leaving it in the machine. Having said all that I feel much better as she does leave the bathroom clean and mostly tidies up after herself in the kitchen.

Ben would appreciate the cuddle - he did the splits in the snow yesterday and is limping today, he is very loving and great company although prepared to switch allegiances for the price of a mini bonio.

Your have been very diligent completing your marking on a Friday and now deserve an unfettered weekend off.

So i dug the car out, which was hard work.

I had to dig it out again and it didn't snow again.

Dear all the S's. The Snow Queen has been in touch with me and commanded you to join my daughter and my husband to dig her car out from where I got it stuck yesterday.

It is on a verge at the bottom of a U shaped bit of road with steep hills either side of it.

There will be opporunities for digging and pushing.

Last time my husband got a car stuck near there it was 3 days befoe we could di it out, today id not so bad but more snow due tomorrow so tehy are going this morning.

Stupid snow. Supposed to be flying from gatwick tomorrow am. I won't be pleased if snow causes my skiing holiday to be cancelled!!

Hope that you are one of the fortunate ones to get away on your planned holiday and that you all enjoy;)

Well I'm on the plane at gatwick and have been for 45 mins. They just said we might be able to take off in an hour! The problem is at Grenoble apparently, although since they haven't finished de-icing the plane yet I'm not convinced! Not sure why they haven't finished as the plane has 2 inches of snow all over it so it was clearly here all day yesterday as it didn't snow overnight.

Spirit, did Mr S get home OK?

Yes -thanks fro asking. The taxi firm were brilliant and went up in the afternoon and sat and waited for him, then a 4 x4 picked him up from an A road and brought him home. Anyone would think we lived out in the sticks -we don't just semi rural.

I was sound asleep when he got in.

I love the way that passengers are controlled by giving them information that sounds like they will be departing within a reasonable amount of time. If they said at the outset you will be stuck on here for 3+ hours before we even take off turning your hop to Europe into a DVT inducing transatlantic equivalent there would be a lot more noise.
