OH has threatened to glue the cupboard holding the water softener shut, if I don't stop monitoring how much softened water is left before the next regeneration!

Even more boring that boiler talk I imagine.

I have just been told off by DW for spending time on this forum. "You are being anti-social," she said. "No, I was being very sociable, whilst you were asleep."
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

There is me dismissing the need for another tablet PC in a different thread, and an hour ago DH turns up with an extra pressie - yep that Archos 80 tablet thing.

You could do worse than find one for £50 in Tesco? It seems perfectly usable. I did have a previous version but I sent it to a colleague in India so we could use the parts.

    The spec looks quite good.

    Is it ICS or JB?

The nexus 7 is jellybean, I think that feels slicker, but its dearer.

OK - the 17 due were 15 as niece closest in age to DDs was ill and stayed home with BIL but despite this a good time was had by all. Bacon was strictly boiled and judging by the fact that I could easily have got rid of more as seconds than there was suggests it went down ok - served with bog standard mash, mange-tout, carrots and gravy with cranberry sauce in it, mustard and parsley sauce (apple sauce got left in the microwave). DS brought extremely chocolatey brownie for afters.

Now we only have DB and SIL who are staying over, they spent xmas day in Cape Town with my parents, flew back over night and will now tour UK relatives before back to their house in The Hague for new years - what it is to be young, full of energy and child free....

Managed to pick up the tablet from Tesco (they claimed not to be able to find the one they had promised they had reserved for me) but can't get VLC to play my network drive VOBs properly :(

Viva I hope the last bit of your break is going OK, perhaps we can come and find you this week?

Edit - I forgot, got DD a new Wii game, this required a 'bios' update for the console which promptly broke the 'hack' which lets us play games from the external HD so I was able to spend many happy hours trying to fix that, it now works except that the 'forwarder' channel insists on using the wrong IOS so I have to load it from the Home Brew channel instead (3 more clicks)
    I think....

I'll be around Friday morning hopefully - I've done my hip in again - a bit of a regular occurrence of late but at least I can just about walk this time. So make that things come in fours.

I have completely beggered my back...

Was helping mum and dad get the boxing day buffet out this evening and somehow, have trapped a nerve. Normally I can clear it pretty quickly (but not painlessly) but this time, no joy, so now I am down to a painful old person shuffle when trying to walk anywhere.

My normal painkillers not even touching the pain...so now having to suffer until I manage to untrap the nerve.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Oh and another thing.. We ordered some tickets for something special. They've been delivered to the wrong address. In Canada.
