BBC 2 Paul Martin's Handmade Revolution - just started. Looks interesting.

Bunch of amateurs who make stuff by hand all show off what they make, but there's a prize to be won (that they don't know about it says).

    I like bizarre/pointless.

I stole a few ideas from an upmarket kitchen design centre when we redid our kitchen dining room.

Floating cupboards on the wall, with quartz worktop on top. Completely pointless :D. I had to put hidden led strip lights on the underside of these cupboards, again looking back I'm not sure what the point is.

Oh...and no handles, just to make it really awkward like ;)

I suspect a lot of features in these show kitchens don't really work in real life.
Pointless might be fine if you've the space/money .... but otherwise all I see is a ridiculous waste of money taking up space :)

I've no idea what a floating cupboard is though .....

    I drank Swans in WA.

Aussie Beer/Lager is much better than American.

When we owned our Bar in Tampa I had a Beer Menu to explain to the Yanks about our Imported Beers, I also had one for their own Domestic crap.......my first draft was a bit more insulting that this, but my head bartender made me change it to a softer version...

BUDWEISER “The King of Beers” Always “ brewery fresh” this world famous Lager beer has been brewed in the U.S.A. for over 100 years. Aged in Beechwood for a satisfying taste. Made from choice Hops, malted Barley and Rice ( Rice ?? )

    BUD LIGHT ……..Err……….well it’s Light !!

MILLER LITE “ Taste a true Pilsner “ or so they say in the adverts. Just don’t tell the Czechs.

MICHELOB LIGHT The advert says “ Beer or Michelob ? “. Well if you want a Beer we have plenty to offer you. If you want a Michelob though, here you are !!

COORS LIGHT Smells like an old pair of sneakers, and tastes even worse !!!

ICEHOUSE Sorry but we don’t stock Old Milwaukee !!

O’DOULS If you don’t want alcohol, may I suggest a glass of Water ?

SAM ADAMS Recognised by some ( not us ) as Americas best Beer. A traditionally brewed dark and flavorsome Lager beer.

CORONA Stick a slice of Lime in it, then you won’t taste it !!

HARDCORE CIDER A Hard and Crisp Cider, made in the traditional American way with unfermented apples. Very fruity and flavorful, with a crisp dryness.

CIDERJACK Traditional American Hard Cider. Strong slightly dry Apple flavor. This Cider is also made with other flavors added. ( not to be recommended )

Off the ground, fixed to wall not floor. Designed to make the floor space and hence the room look bigger. Also makes floor cleaning easier as no dirt gets beyond the kick-boards.

Also works in bathrooms where the toilet and sink are attached to the wall rather than the floor.

And what about those shelves so low above the bed head end? You surely can't sit in bed with those?

I've always had a fear that any cupboards put above the bed will fall down when I'm sleeping and crush me.

    So we are on MSE.

If I stick with British Gas my tariff goes up 7% in November. Or for no cost I can fix at 4% more until Nov 13 or at 10% more until Nov 14. So what do I do?
