And now I get 'the' call about a relative. From another one who says without pausing
'x is dead, just so you know this is for my son, this is for my daughter, this is for my other daughter so you cannot have any of this. Oh, or that, that or that.
Shrug.
So long as its not a pet left homeless I don't care who has what. (relative by marriage).
So then relative starts going on about how nice it will be to see us there (now we have been informed nothing is 'ours') and I say...oh well, yes, of course I won't be coming but....
Hahaa, now the memory os being defiled, not when earmarking stuff..

Puncture repair kit? (they sometimes come with inflatable-type things). Or failing that I'd try a first aid type plaster.0 -
I had not anticipated that interest rates would be cut to zero and held at that level for five years and counting.
Some of the minor reasons I sold when I did was because I knew I'd struggle to find a job that paid the mortgage and I didn't have mortgage protection (because the small print excluded me on several issues) ... and so I'd never make it safely to the 39 weeks to find out what 'help' there'd be. Effectively, I'd have had no way out.
And - at the time - we were being told that interest rates could only go one way: UP!0 -

Secondly, 30 day replace/refund guarantee - and I've not had it 3 weeks, so it'll go back (maybe tomorrow) .... and they'll just replace it
Bingo. Apart from having to make the effort - and a car park fee - I'll get a new one.
The only other two nuisances are: [1] having to find out how to deflate it enough to transport it [2] having to pump up a new one. Not got a proper pump and it's really long-winded and awkward pumping it up. Have to hold the nozzle (of the borrowed footpump) into the hole; it doesn't "fit" the hole so there's some escaping as I'm pumping in and it's awkward to keep going while holding the nozzle into the filler area.0 -

I bought a foot pump in dunelm for £5, it came with 4 different nozzle ends.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I remember when interest rates hit 13%, so when we moved in 1993 we took a fixed rate mortgage, but the rate was 6.85% then rates started to fall. This time (2006) round we decided to go with a variable tracker rate because the deal was better, so we have benefited from the low rates.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
