A person after my own heart, I always like to have spare loo rolls in the house.

My nightmare scenario is running out of loo roll and having to use newspaper ! :rotfl:

My nightmare scenario involves running out of both loo roll and newspaper.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Think I'd be using kitchen roll before newspaper, depending on yesterdays headlines of course :)

I used to live near a housing estate that looked very modern (they used part of it in the movie Fahrenheit 451). It had tall flats on pillars and I remember walking through the base in the winter and the wind was so bitter it was like getting your face slapped.

Later found out it ws based on leCorbusier'sbuildings that were designed for Algeria and the aim was to channel the wind under the building to generate a cooling breeze which would be very welcome in a desert country. Completely useless in a temperate country like ours.

So good! I hope you don't mind me repeating it?

If you use Chrome then install Google Dictionary then you just double click on any word and a definition appears like magic :)

Doesn't work too well on that word though :rotfl:
Well, that was a bit of Smug Fail :)

Looking at the image you kindly provided prior to your fail .... what sort of froth? What's that made of?

Just trying to be helpful :)

    Frape
A combination of the words 'Facebook' and 'Rape'.

The act of Raping someones Facebook profile when they leave it logged in. Profile pictures, sexuality and interests are commonly changed however fraping can include the poking or messaging of strangers from someone else's Facebook account.

I think that's what silvercar means.

    I've done that before.

I always have a lot of kitchen roll in stock too - usually buying 6-packs. I probably get through one roll every 3 weeks. I use it for most microwaving and a lot of kitchen top spillage wiping and I crack eggs onto it (piece of kitchen roll on the worktop and whack that to crack them .... then you scoop up the piece of roll with the egg goo on it rather than wiping down the kitchentop with a cloth and have to worry about germ transference). Dead handy ..... and perfect when loo roll stock control's gone awry.

Mr S has been shooting two days this week. His shoot syndicate is made up of elderly military types. I learnt yesterday that they share hip flasks:eek:. I had always thought they all used their own little tots. Mr S had been telling me of the various accuracy fuels he sampled yesterday - his offering was Sloegin - others were Bushmills with pieces of ginger in it and a rather nice sherry/bovril combo.

I would go for the toothbrush base sharing with beloved everytime. The alcohol and warming properties would not entice me to be swigging from the same flask as that lot.

It reminded me that last boxing day a gun took a bite from a pie, handed the pie down to his dog who had a nibble, and then took another bite himself.

What is quite cute is that a Brigadier has named his dog after another of the Guns (a General and his boss). When he is beating he appears to be shouting at and cursing the General.
    Posh alert!!

As for the rest of it, I'd blame that old public school stuff.... dens of abuse they are. It's all about bat boys .... and probably naked botties. After that, sharing a drinking vessel's tame.

    :)

    Do all NPs like kebabs?
    Yes, yes, yes.
They've had a lot of bad press and stereotyping, but most taste the same, where same=gorgeous. Get a good one and the taste is to die for.

I prefer to ask for "kebab meat only", partly because it's a huge portion, partly because I don't need the 100-120 calories of the pitta .... and I have a bit of chilli, no mayo and leave off the big green chilli (which I think is a pickled one).

Good chunky kebab meat ..... yum, yum, yum.
