you will be fine. everything will work.

have a big big vent, throw a big strop and you will feel better.

big hugs from my corner of electrons to your corner of electrons.

Thank you dear one. I did vent.

Just got back in and it's MUcH warmer tonight than it was this afternoon, ain't weather funny?

The moon is big and round and In my lunacy I chatted to brother moon what'd told him my woes and felt better because there are peoe colder in home, (I do have the cranky wood burner and electric heaters) and in heart (I have dh) and in life.....I have lots more than I need, and the moon smiled and forgave me my fit of selfishness I think, and so I kissed the horses on the nose and decided I would do lates as normal after all. Then I came bag and got big dog and kiwi fruit with teeth and we three went to check the fox runs and big dog found a chicken who had not found her way in, so we brought her back in and popped her away.

Dh should be home any second and we can have supper before lates and then maybe we might go for a moonlight walk before bed, as it's so beautiful and the rain seems to think its coming back as the temps are going up

That sounds more like LIR :)

My mum sent me a text to look at the moon (aka loon) as it is big. Didn't look so big from here, but kind of in soft focus (must be misty up there).

When things were bad and my mum was off gallavanting I would look at the moon and reassure myself that we were looking at the same thing, wherever we were. Its a special thing (no wonder we ladies work on the same timescales).

    Happy Birthday PN!

Anyway, I survived and more importantly, my niece survived my babysitting today, in fact she seemed to quite enjoy Aunty Suzie getting flustered at the supermarket with the baby trolley and getting her in it, found it hysterical watching Auntie Suzie trying to push the bleeding baby trolley around and then once back at home, felt comfortable enough to fall asleep for the next two hours (the baby, not me).

Personally, I think I did pretty well for a very much non maternal, not had to deal with a baby for 14 years person.

Might need a month to recover from it though! (me, not the baby....she just thinks I am the craziest weirdest thing alive if her facial expressions are anything to go by)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

My youngest is 9, and the youngest we have on the company is 10, so I think that I'm going to maintain my paternal instinct for some time to come.

It seems strange that my two are old enough to be friendly with the youngest kids I work with, and even more strange that my eldest is in year 7 now!

Sue you are so lucky... I've had my chest infection for three months now and still haven't been able to cuddle my nephew (borne out of fears re whooping cough etc). I hope it goes soon so I can finally give him a very big hug. Then I can hand him back, because I'm not maternal either... There's still a family bond though.

He will do for my 24 year old daughter. I can pick him up if needs be.

Miss Spirit has had a bit of a bad day as she unexpectedly had to have her cat put to sleep tonight.

    It was all very sad.

The same happened with my Mum's dog yesterday. Given everything else that's going on it was very bad timing but she had a stroke and kept falling over. It's not the best of times in this part of Herts.

My lovverrr has an 8 year old, I find that an annoying age with constant questions and wanting attention but at least I am not out of practice as youngest is emotionally more like a 9 or 10 year old.....something the school are now discovering (and believing) now he is at the start of his GCSE years, he is no where near mature enough to be taking them.

You think year 7 is strange, my eldest is in year 14! Talking about James, he is now not only a leader at Beavers (the group before cubs) but he is starting as a trainee youth worker next week at the local youth club. Apparently, he is mature enough for the responsibility but also young enough to have a rapport with the children plus with the additional very handy knowledge of different kinds of special needs.

It's like something out of It Ain't Half Hot Mum here. It's 9am, 27C and raining. I might as well be in Darwin it's so bloody humid.

There are some interesting events in NSW politics right now. Labor (not Labour) have been in power for an age and finally lost control of the State Government about a year ago. Over here Labor are well known for corruption which largely comes from their structure which encourages the rise of Power Brokers.

The PB for many years in NSW was a bloke called Eddie Obeid. An investigation after Labor lost the election found that a senior official had bought a new car very cheaply. Further investigation showed that Mr Obeid had caused the discount to happen. So far, it's dodgy but only MP's expenses dodgy, nothing earth-shattering.

However, it turns out that the car was a 'stage payment' of a series of bribes to ensure that Mr Obeid under-paid for mining licences by about $100,000,000! It looks almost certain now that Mr Obeid is guilty as hell although the corruption people aren't due to report until June. The subsequent court cases which will hopefully see Mr O and the rest of the Labor magpies thrown in gaol are highly likely to coincide with the next General Election campaign.

The bad news for my fellow New South Welsh is that the Liberals (our Tory party only without the class baggage) have adopted a similar internal structure too although parts of the party are trying to overthrow it.

I wonder if Aussie politicians are more corrupt than Pommie ones or just worse at keeping it quiet.
