Been to see and hear John McLaughlin in Barbican last week...OMG...that man can play guitar. Good drummer and bass player also. Thoroughly enjoyed it. :)

Asda has an offer on cans at the moment. I am assuming you would say that a bottle isn't worth it because you wouldn't drink it all but end up throwing half of it away.

So next NP survey: coke/ pepsi/ virgin cola/ value carp????

    flavoured coke: lemon/ lime/ cherry???

    diet/ caffeine free/ zero/ red????
    alt : diet/ max/ blue???

I don't really mind what mixers we use :D

Heating is all going horribly horribly wrong ATM. It will not be done by Wednesday because a part is missing and has to be reordered.

I do not like the heating team. It's very difficult, particularly after having such a painless summer with the nice builders, to be 'invaded' by people who want to mooch and pass the buck for things going wrong. It's something I simply do not stand for...the it's his fault.

I had to nip to a plumbers merchant for a second missing bit for the nice builder's sparky, which is fine, but it is something that the heating team shoul dhave made clear was needed!

Today the new flue leaked (and tbf the flue man is here, now fixing it, and that's not nice in this wind and rain) and the hot water cylinder leaks, not majorly, just a little joint which can be sorted, but the heating people plumbers deny it and say it cannot leak because there is no water in it.

OH likes real red coke, I like diet coke, so we compromise with caffiene free diet coke, that we both can bare.

We don't do pepsi at all.

Kids like Dr Pepper. The marketing originally was to persuade you to try it 3 times, after that research showed you would enjoy the taste.

Coke zero was brought out because diet coke was seen as a female drink.

In truth, we don't drink much 'pop'. We have some in for high days and holidays and socialising and mixers. Occasionally dh goes through a 'float' phase, and he gets through litre of the stuff making icecream sodas and coke floats.

Also, ATM just as an aborition as a result of ...strange things in London, we have a large number of branded carp drinks and some food. The kind of stuff I never usually buy.

I try to give it away as soon as it comes in....friends or in a couple of cases the local food bank (not very far away so easy peasy)

foundinrates has a very similar sweet tooth to mine. I don't like really sweet things, but love floats. Yesterday I made myself affogato because I had a craving and I know that's a favourite of his too. I wonder what else he likes... My guilty secret is Angel Delight type desserts, especially butterscotch:o.

Don't know if anyone else is looking at the Black Friday sale on Amazon but there are some good bargains on there. We've been looking for a white LED TV for the guest room for some time, but the one I liked was £240 - a bit too much to spend on a spare. He's just managed to get a 19" LED in white for £67. Not a great brand, but at that price it's just fine.

ETA: sorry, £63 got price wrong.
