Sounds 'bout right mate. I can start the application process for citizenship at the end of the month.
Excuse my nosiness Gen, but if you do that, do you get to have dual nationality or do you become Australian? How do you feel about it? From what you wrote about London my sense was that you quite like having a foot in both camps.
And good luck with the interview! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Asda has an offer on cans at the moment. I am assuming you would say that a bottle isn't worth it because you wouldn't drink it all but end up throwing half of it away.
So next NP survey: coke/ pepsi/ virgin cola/ value carp????
flavoured coke: lemon/ lime/ cherry???
diet/ caffeine free/ zero/ red????
alt : diet/ max/ blue???I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. Diet coke for me please.0

We both like diet Coke, but DH used to have a major habit (I'd buy 24 cans a week for him). Thankfully he went cold turkey and we now both just drink it occasionally. When I do buy, it is because it is on special and I don't really care whether its Coke or Pepsi, as long as it is diet (or Max).
The fizzy drink of choice in this house is now diet Cream Soda, which is caffeine-free. My personal preference is for high juice blackcurrant squash and my favourite brand is Sainsburys. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Good luck gen!
I'm sure dual nationality must be possible. I've met people with duial UK/Canadian nationality so I imagine it must be similar....surely?
Pepsi max. All the special flavours are naff.
I remember the days of clear colas and Tab too. Can't remember if any of them had different tastes.
There was a book once about the "cola wars" I think and how Pepsi got into the Warsaw Pact countries while Coca cola got into China.
Cream soda was my fave when I was a lad! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

My international marketing tutor said that they had to change the pronounciation of Coca Cola in China because when said the same as here, it translated as "bite the wax tadpole". They changed the characters used so that the slightly different sounding Co-ker Ko Ler (or something like that) translated as something like "allows the mouth to rejoice". To this day, I have no idea what Pepsi means in Chinese. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Very rarely drink fizzy juice, water is my fav but I would go for fanta if I had a fizzy drink. I used to like draft coke.
Seems to be energy drinks in this house. DD wants them all the time and I always looked on them like drinking medicine. Now I will have one when I go to the gym and actually enjoy it.0 -

I heard the Chinese name for Coca-Cola was something like "Can mouth- mouth happy" .
I remember people saying how thrilling it must have been for East Berliners to cross the wall after it came down and visit the first MacDonalds there as if that was the poiint of it all.
I had a meal there myself and I thought they might be a bit underwhelmed at finding they were eating a minced meat sandwich and a drink that would surely taste surpisingly like Pepsi to them.
Oh yes and Orangina was my fave drink when older. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I don't like fizzy....but if push came to shove, it would be a tiny amount of diet. I couldn't have a full can, a full can would take me days to drink! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
