I have a problem with getting married again, as a divorced person, it makes it harder to get married in church and because of my views, I just couldn't get married in a registry office as it is not in the eyes of god (that is not to say others can't)
One thing I hope is that I would be able to find a sympathetic vicar who would realise that I kept to my marriage vows and was the one adultered against. Failing that, it would have to be a ceremony somewhere special to us with possibly a blessing done in church...but I would still prefer to be married in church, it is very important to me and my faith.
Mind you, I would have to get over my eekness about having to share my house/life etc with someone else first. I like the control I now have although it is nice to be treated every once in a while (this has caused other problems because I insist on being on an equal basis on costs whereas loverrrr is used to paying for everything in a relationship).
I also can't get the hang of this new relationship stuff of texting all the time, I find it so intrusive and others find it weird me and loveerrr are not constantly texting each other...but then he is old school too. He did try initially to conform to social norms when it came to texting and so did I but we failed miserably as we had both been singletons for so long and pretty stuck in our independent ways.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I personally find it hard to see a second marriage as somehow less 'wrong' according to Christianity than a relationship outside marriage.
Tbc, both are highly positive according to me!0 -

Dh has no vaccination record, and his mother never told him and it's not on medical notes here or in Italy so we don't know what childhood illness or vaccinations he had. He went to school for a short while on two separate occasions in US ...does this mean he is definitely vaccinated?
Another colleague was tested for immunity to common diseases on joining the NHS as an employee after losing her vaccination record and they coulod tell what she must hav e been vaccinated against.
I was surprised to learn some countries vaccinate aginst chicken pox. Don't think that happens here at all. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

i am not sure bombarding each other with worthless texts is a social norm - it might be a norm for idiots with a lot of time on their hands though. i have never really seen the point of texting people a lot, regardless of your relationship with them, unless you actually have a reason to text them of course (e.g. as text 4) below shows...).
my last 10 texts sent say this:
1) In.
2) On 20.15
3) No.
4) What is the point of Lucy Spraggan?
5) So you're coming here?
6) Consensus here is that you are worse than [x].
7) No trains running, will be late, meet you at restaurant.
8) On 20.15
9) On 20.15
10) On 20.150 -
I've been getting quite concerned about a bit of weight gain for poor old Generali as the weight has crept up from 70-80kg over the course of about 8 years.
I decided to download an app that would help me keep track of my riding (I've been slack about cycling every day) and would keep me motivated.
I looked at the calories burned for the commute today and Rejoice, Rejoice. Taking the slightly longer route meant I burned 1100ca......hang on a sec, I weigh 175lbs not 175kgs.
Damn.0 -

haha! still, presumably weight shouldn't all that much difference to cycling, unless there is elevation involved when it would of course make an enormous difference?
i've given up trying to track calories burned according to exercise in the gym as the estimates thrown out by the machines seem ludicrous.
OH uses an app called myfitnesspal and just got into the habit of entering food into it before she actually eats it, which basically scares you into not eating cake and other bad snacks.
i just eat as much cake as possible. speaking of which one has just appeared in the office.0 -

Newton told us that
E = mv^2
So at any given speed, energy used is proportional to mass (weight).
Ok, it's a bit more complex than that because you have friction within the bike, wind resistance, rolling resistance and so on but the principle is good.chewmylegoff wrote: »i've given up trying to track calories burned according to exercise in the gym as the estimates thrown out by the machines seem ludicrous.
I always thought that gym machines' calorie estimates were like posh clothes where you have to buy a size down because the number is designed to flatter you rather than be an accurate reflection of the world.chewmylegoff wrote: »OH uses an app called myfitnesspal and just got into the habit of entering food into it before she actually eats it, which basically scares you into not eating cake and other bad snacks.

I'm hoping that cycling more will do the trick and the extra weight will go. We get 'free' biscuits at work every day which doesn't help matters.0 -

so in reality if you're fat you'll just go slower and output the same power for longer?I always thought that gym machines' calorie estimates were like posh clothes where you have to buy a size down because the number is designed to flatter you rather than be an accurate reflection of the world.
it's more that they are so inconsistent compared to one another. i am currently a member of three different gyms, and the exercise bikes in each, for instance, give wildly different readings. either gym #2 provides a 100% strength and stamina boost compared to gym #1, or the numbers are just completely made up.I'm hoping that cycling more will do the trick and the extra weight will go. We get 'free' biscuits at work every day which doesn't help matters.
free stuff at work is the biggest problem for me. i can very easily just not buy any bad food and never be tempted to do so, but if someone puts a cake on the desk at the end of my pod at work, i will eat half of it in about 4 minutes and there is no way to stop me doing it.0
