I made mincemeat last christmas from a recipe I found here which did not have suet or peel in it. I can't seem to find it now anyone know what it was. The whole family loved it, that included my fussy nephews and i'm being asked already to make them all a batch.0

There's a couple of tips on this site, but tbh I think you guys have got it all sewn up!

My mum and I were watching the same cookery programme today (Barefoot Contessa - loveher!) and she made something coconut-y and my mum rang me straight after and said how nice it looked! She told me that she loves coconut stuff - which I never knew! These will now form the basis of some kind of hamper for her! I LOVE Card Factory! If you spot one get yourself in there!
Just been in one today, saw it on the High Street and thought I read someone saying that. Brought Christmas cards for Mum and Dad cards x2, Grandparents x2, Great Grandma card, Aunt and Uncle cards x2 for £5.81! All really nice and good quality cards, used to buy M&S cards for everyone but can't afford it this year but these are brill. Hate card shopping when its busy and everyones pushing to look so it was lovely to buy in peace!:D
Also got some more reduced Olay and Scauntary stuff for my hampers from Boots today. Really lovely and current stuff so not sure why it was reduced but everything was half price (2x foot packs, 2x soap bars and an Olay mask tube for £12 and then 42 points on my card). Would recommend you to look on your local Boots reduced stand. Feel a bit sad as almost got everything I need for some massive hampers but am really enjoying picking up little bits here and there.Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Had a great buy today...... i remembered someone saying about car boots etc for baskets so today i was in town and the local flee market thing was on usually just pass buy but i thought hey lets go look. first stall i went too there was a man selling some baskets woohoo i thought then he said the price and i couldnt snap them up quick enough. there was 5 large ones the flower type baskets with the carry handles 50p each and then there was a tray with 11 small baskets on (very small will be great for my pot o gold ideas that i too pinched from this site tee hee) they were £1 the lot.
have come home all bargained out and feeling very pleased with myself so i had to share the good news.
hope you all had as good a day as me.

Ohhh whats the Pot o gold ideas? I havent heard of those beforeOnly two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help?
