Well, I thought buying Christmas presents in August made me a bit of an oddball - but having found this thread I see I am amongst the cleverest of people!
I just wanted to say i went to TK Max on Monday - huge clearance sale and I bought loads of presents from the glass / homeware section - many bargains especially on candles, glass and dinner ware - ace shopping (only a few more to get now)

as promised I said I would post the pic's of the ornaments I got in woolies sale so here goes I am quite surprised at the height of these things for so little money...
large budda for £22.49...sat in a normal leather chair...
chinese warrior £11.24
I am quite taken aback at the size....
happy christmas shopping in august everyone...cw:D
Pls be nice to all MSer's

Hi, been looking around the shops and it looks like places like Wilko's and Home Bargins are starting to gear up from Christmas as more toys and gift like things are coming in.
I received the bag for life from the thegoodbagco.com, recommended by Tinselfairy, and its lovely. Going to use for my SIL and her bf nice/posh food hamper. Realised today I have about 4500 points on our Nectar card so might use that in Sainsburys for some bits for them or use them in Argos for someones pressie. Brought some lovely Christmas Spiced tea bags from Whitards today for their hamper, 30 for a £1 - look a bargin! Also been looking through bits and pieces (packing up to move house) and am finding bits of smellies that have been thrown cupboards so these will come in great for pamper hampers.
Need to get some stuff for DS so will use Boots to get the £5 off skincare vouchers to get some reduced Olay stuff for mums and MIL hampers. Love reading this thread - just need to move next week and then I'm really going to start looking for bits and pieces for my hampers.Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Everyone seems to be buying loads of presents, but has anyone hinted to loved ones what they would like for Christmas?
Have been keeping an eye out for early present bargains but nothing that i like the look of for various family members, and nothing that i would like as a present either.
I don't collect anything and I have anything I need, so looks like people will be giving me cash again (which allows some sales shopping, but most just seems to be absorbed into debt repayments)Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -
I've just about given up asking for stuff now - cash is the best thing for me as I like to pool it together and buy something more expensive that what I would feel comfortable asking for..if that makes sense?Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
