This thread is fantastic.
Iv now made my list of who i need to buy for apart from my 4 kids!! And have decided that most people will receive a small basket with homemade weetabix cake and homemade hob-nob biscuits cut into xmas shapes using cookie cookers i bought in sales last year, i may add a couple of the big chocolate sweets and a mug (maybe a photo mug).
I think they will look great, im just worried again that 2 certain family members (my inlaws) will turn their noses up as they are so materialistic!!! But tough im not getting into more debt because of xmas, i didnt last year i wont from now on!!
Any ideas how to wrap up this sort of hamper??Proud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
I think I'm going to have to start properly in September once DD has gone back to school as at the minute I can't even go to the supermarket without her complaining :mad:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

I think it sounds like a great idea!If they turn their noses upjust say the kids helped and made them especially for them and see if they change their tune
You could try and get some cellophane from either your florist or on ebay
Then just gather with a nice ribbon bowDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

We've got quite a few coupons now tucked away ready for Christmas. Mum's got her Tesco vouchers and luncheon vouchers ready for the Xmas Big Shop!
I've got my vouchers from Tesco. These normally either go on a few pressies, or I use them to get the xmas booze in.
Ordered a present from QVC the other day for my best friend - she deserves something special (we've been friends since we were 3)
The studio book came the other day and there's a set of three mini sacks, which look ideal for special presents for people. Maybe if you're doing a mini hamper or something involving make up. Three for £2.99 I think there were.
Been playing Christmas songs at work and generally annoying everyone reminding how long there is to go until the big day:D

Being on a bit of a downer about our debts I thought I'd get festive to try and beat the blue's :j
I officially started buying yesterday and managed to buy-
A pair of mens slippers from woolies for £2 (not sure if they're for FIL or BIL)
A pair of mens simpson socks also woolies for £1 (For OH-ongoing joke!)
3 Pairs of ladies Disney socks also woolies for £3 (3x£1) (For MIL and SIL)
Should of been £20 but was all reduced to £6 :j (They were even cheaper than the reduced stickers on them when I got to the checkout!)
I also got a masive bucket of sweeties from wilko's- I think it should of been £5 but got for £2.99 and it is huuuuge- be good for childrens hampers!
And lastly I got SIL a dove set still boxed and brand new for £1.75 from the red cross!!! Bargin!!!
:xmassign: And happy shopping!!!!!!0 -
