dementedhousewife whatever happens and whatever accommodation you end up with I admire your tenacity and I truly hope you end up with the holiday you wanted (and paid for) and the hassle you had prior to departure does not effect, in any way, your holiday. I am sure I speak for the majority of forum posters with children they wish to 'protect'.

Thank you, I was determind not to give up.

My next step is emailing the hotel.
I have some good contacts so far. :-)

As the OP and her partner wanted to be together, I have ascertained that the 18 year old ADULT will be sleeping with the kids - and this is what I referred to earlier that the children would not be left to sleep alone.

I got shot down by others suggesting that the 18 year old might want to go clubbing or something, but it is all irrelevant now as the TA has resolved the issue.

I am not sure where the OP confirmed that the niece will be sleeping with her kids. There are other family members travelling.

There are? I must have missed that bit. So where is the niece sleeping then?

I must admit I wouldn't fancy travelling all the way to the Caribbean with kids that young.

Without going back through all of the posts, didn't the OP suggest she wanted time with her partner - having an 18 year old in the same bedroom room could 'restrict' the quality of that time.

Agitated? Let me assure you I am certainly not agitated - I suspect that some people may be surprised at how naive the OP has been prior to forking out thousands of pounds.

There are many well seasoned travellers on here who would have offered advice and numerous travel forums that could also be very helpful and could have avoided all of the upset.

The OP must have plenty of time judging by the number of posts on here and time spent at travel agents - which contradicts an earlier posting that the OP may not have time book/research via the internet because of having three kids in tow.

But as the old adage goes - all's well that ends well!
