Lol, I remember your 'phone under a car' stories! Keep the insurance!! Or what about some of the packaged bank accounts? Would they work out any cheaper?0
-
Lol! not one of my finest moments! It's defo something I'll look at! Was crunching numbers today and trying to find area where I can cut back even more. This is the only thing I have got to play with! Number crunch estimates to follow ...(snooze alert)...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Ooh, an extra visit to see YHB (young handsome boy) tomorrow to withdraw the other £50?
I love your number crunching!!! I'm equally precise when updating (adding my 2p coin find to my spreadsheet :rotfl:). Crunch away0 -
Inspired by Kat's YHB, I went to the bank to (finally) pay in my cheque annnnnnnd nope.
In regards to payday lenders, I think that people need to take at least some responsibility for their own borrowing and need to be reasonable in what they expect what would happen. When you borrow, you pay for the inconvenience of your lender not having that money (you're paying for their opportunity cost in economic terms) which is made very obvious every time you borrow. Getting harassed isn't fun, but without the incentive to pay back (technically it's a disincentive to cheat on your agreement- Game Theory dictates that you will cheat if you believe that your immediate payoff from cheating will benefit you more than complying over time; Behavioural/Public Economics dictates that you will suffer from the free riding problem if you do not enforce punishment and reminders) it's only up to your morals and threat of punishment to get you to pay it back.
I've been working at my place for 6 months now, I got asked today by one of the devs how to pronounce my name. It's not that hard!0 -
PEEETTTTEEEEE
that's how I pronounce it. Although it could be tricky if asked to pronounce the whole name. Killer- Peeeteee or Killerpeeeteee :$
I see so many stories about people not being able to pay back payday loans. It seems horrific but, while I think it needs to be regulated better, the rules are written in black and white in front of you. I realise that people who go for these loans are in dire straits, but there should be a warning bell ringing loud and clear that they are willing to accept such extortionate charges. MSE is campaigning constantly for them to be regulated further/put out of business.
Face slowly went down to an approximation of normal by last night. Woke up with an eye so puffy this morning I could only open it a slit. My lips/chin are about to be scratched off my face entirely, they are so itchy! Still, I am at work, getting abuse from the ignorant troll of a man who works upstairs and thought it was hilarious to go on and on about how he shouldn't come near me with my 'lurgy' and what might he get from me. I advised him he'd be getting a short sharp punch to the face, then sent an email around the office explaining I had a reaction (as advised by my boss the day before) to artichokes & it was not catching, therefore could people please leave me alone & not bring the subject up as it is embarrassing and obvious enough! (He came & apologised)
Having a rubbish day at work and there is so long leftstill, plenty of work to be going on with!

Oh Lilt! I'd go ninja on his bumcheeks if you want!! What a loser! cant believe you had to email people so they wouldn't make fun of you! so childish of them! you should cough on a few just to make 'em freak out! lol!!!
I'm off to a vintage Photoshoot as the model for a friend. She's got hold of a studio space for three hours. She's feeding me too- that's the only reason I'm going to be honest... Lol!
£91.01 to be paid to the Bike Loan (which includes interest about the expected £80.80- Grr!) but I have enough. Just didn't get to the Halifax.. Took ages getting my eyelashes on and my hair in victory rolls.. Ha! Tomorrow for sure.. I'll check in later girlies...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Lilt - I'd have been tempted to tell the ignorant idiot that, looking at his face he was too late and had already caught the lurgy!0

Good Morning Girlies..
So I am off to have the second part of my crown done today. Yipee! I am a little tired I won't lie, so a relax in the dentist chair should do me well although I nearly fell asleep last time. Wonders never cease since having my mouth clamped open for 40 minutes was rather uncomfortable.
Today treats (lunching) feature spicy lentils (again) mixed with macaroni and baked briefly with panko (japanese breadcrumbs) sprinklled on top with the last of my cheese. There was barely any cheese.
I am going to sit and calculate portion prices shortly (in 3 hours) as I used 100g lentils again, 375g macaroni (£1 = 500g), half an onion (16.5p) and the other half of a tin of tomatoes (17.5p).. it was a massive dish as well (great - I get to eat this for DAYS).. and to be fair was a little dry so a full tin of tomatoes is probably better.
Musings and calculations shall continure forthwith - following a good drilling... :rotfl:
Onwards and Upwards!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Hope the dentist isn't too painful, Kat.
Two kitties packed off to mum's last night. Apparently, according to mum, I'm not feeding Old Blackie enough as he's so skinny. He's about 15yrs old (a stray so we're not really sure) and looks a bit straggly but he is certainly not underfed! He managed to get a second meal out of mum last night even though I'd already fed him. She spoils my cats more than she does her grandkids :rotfl: Likkle kitty also went. he was just happy to be allowed out to play and milked his bad paw with "Grandma"
So I slept really well as they're the two who disturb me at night. Still looking forward to a break though.
Kat, I like to work out how much meals cost to make too especially if it's a takeaway-style meal like a curry. I like that feeling of "Ooh look how much I've saved by not going to the chippy/indian/pub" :rotfl:
Payday today and £300 going into the "house" ISA, it's a strange but lovely feeling knowing I'm actually saving for a change0
