CountingDownTheDays.....HELLO..Don't feel bad. Just work extra hard this week on some NSD's.. we are allowed some luxuries ( that would include expensive magazines ) to keep us sane. Am intrigued as to the NCT as well.. post as soon as you know, although I would be going a little mental by now..!!!.. AND I remember the good old days when I never missed an issue of MC and it was £2.80.

Welcome HomeMadeHappiness... are you loving the garden that's being sculpted? :T..with your name I am wondering what goodies you make at home ...Do tell??..

I am about to eat a very late breakfast..( what I'm on holiday ok..:)..) then haul up some stones with my Dad to make a drain in the field we have... what with all the NI rain we are getting!!! This is very "Good Life" as per SS's mention...my Dad is very determined. Must be where I get it from... and ooh look the rains started again!!

Susie Sue use that furniture and sell sell sell... if your landlady is willing to let you then use all available means to get rid of your debts. £15 is GOOD! Well done you!! What else have you got to sell though cause you said "one of the chairs"..?

Corriander is such a pain to grow cause I eat so much of it so well done you! I love little pots of yummies growing in a kitchen.. Daddy is lucky enough to have a greenhouse already so I have blitzed his fresh tomato crop...nom nom nom!!

Happy - melts downs all round! You are not alone...

Now I had a voucher for £40 off a wine order somewhere in the house that is going on eBay...

  • Good afternoon ive done the cleaning up and the washing is out on the line, might do the ironing later. Well done on the ebay selling u hope you have lots of sold items when you get home and it helps towards clearing the numbers down :) xx

  • Well good evening to you all.

I have wiped another NSD off the list.. this was down to be worked like a dog in the garden. We have been shifting rocks and filling in a massive drain in order to have it levelled - I can just smell that apple pie baking with my home-grown apples ( in about 8 years )... then I hit a mountain bike trail with my brother for an hour and burned off calories.... in order to eat them back on courtesy of my Mum's home-made chips! LOL!

So I shall be settling in front of some sort of alien film with the family and in the background checking through some snow-ball calculators. 4 people watching my eBay bits.. and one question about my £50 home theatre system that's 10 years old...FINGER'S CROSSED!!

Happy you seem to have had a good day.. Sunday TV is great to chill on front of. If I was in London I'd have done the same... with BUCKET loads of tea. Wine is never a problem for me as a tee-totaller but my goodness I should have shares with a tea plantation in India...

Anyway that's all for the moment. Mother wants my laptop for a bit so has bribed me with an ice-lolly.. that's all it takes folks..

Well Good Evening To you ALL!!!

Don't you just hate it when you type out a wondrous reply to MSE and have your stoopid internet connection cancels and you lose your fantastical story...Okay here we go again!

Welcome first to the lovely Alana.. completely impressed with your eBay funds - very impressed actually! Glad I have inspired you and am happy to have you along for the ride!

Last night was spent in front of Predator 2 - what a thrill that was. My brother has every gory alien film going so we are never short of entertainment. Tonight I shall get on with the snow-balling as remember last night = ice lolly bribery!

I spent today with another MSE'er..MountainMum.. she fed me the most amazing "MSE" chocolate and strawberry cake and I was able to tick off another NSD. YEAH! We both discovered we are after the same house that's for sale near us - only £235,000. With 4 acres. However in such disrepair my brother the surveyor seems to think it will need tearing down and re-built... we may race each other to buy it although I doubt I will win!

This however got me to thinking and got me even more fired up to NEVER SPEND ANY UNNECESSARY PENNIES! Between the couponing tips from MountainMum.. the el'cheapo toiletries that I am now converted to I will get what I want!!

In 2009 I spent £3500 on a holiday for me and the parents to Switzerland...In 2010 I spent £5000 on the Tran-Siberian Railway from London St Pancras through Moscow, Siberia and Mongolia ending in Beijing and a flight home.. these were both holidays paid for in cash. I can and I will do it again!!

The one thing I have always wanted, desired and craved is a home of my own. I have no family to live with "while I save", no family to go to at the weekends for "dinner", and my family cannot help financially - I am on my own. No man has proven himself worthy yet so I am going to buy my own house, on my own.. with a cat flap for HRH Duchess Dorothy of Mog, a little port or garage for Hercules The Bandit ( Motorbike ) and a living room with MY choice of furniture and MY choice of who visits and who doesn't..

But I cannot do this whilst paying off loans. I will buy a house and live on boxes and eat out of a tupperware tub in order to do this properly - without loans for sofas and without cheap IKEA flat-pack.. ( I am not knocking it by the way I currently swear by it )... my point is its high time I aim for what I want AGAIN instead of just thinking about it...my own home!!...

Alana I think this is what you want as well yes?..

So I will cut everything down, sell everything, excuse myself from nights out all for the greater good.. my friends will be re-paid with beautiful dinners at my house when its bought.. with three course dinners with my own cutlery etc... so they will have to accept my cutbacks as good friends should...

CountingDownTheDays.. you have smashed your £10 a day challenge?? Spill...? And thank you for your eBay wishes.. I have my fingers crossed and might re-arrange some to a 10 day listing instead of 7... I have 7 people watching a few bits.. fingers crossed indeed..

So - tell me one and all. What kind of weekend have you had? How do you feel..? Happy are you messing around with spreadsheets perchance?.. Siouxsie32 what have you been up to..? CountingDownTheDays are you over your little feelings of guilt for a magazine purchase...? Alana do you have a target date..? Perhaps get a signature up and running so we can keep track of you :rotfl:..

Let me know what you got - as much as you think I am helping you .. hearing from you all is helping me!!!:T:T:T:T:T

Haha yes this is what i dream of but unfortunatly on my salary and where i live i can never afford to buy so have decided to rent like many of my friends.
A mortgage with my salary (im a sales rep so get great commision but this is never counted as its not constant) i will get about £100k haha like there are any flats or homes in hertfordshire for that!!!!
    Oh well
But i am excited about renting as i think times have changed and this is becoming more common.
Ebay is sooo addictive- if its not stuck down its going!
Good luck all for tomo an remember - do i need it, can i affford it!
