:naughty:tut tut, lilt! Not that I can judge :D Finally found a winter coat in the sales after I've spent the money mum gave me for xmas on some new jeans, typical! It's a good quality coat and was half price so... that's me justified:rotfl:

SM shopping tonight. Don't need a lot so stocking up on a few spices as Hubby's into cooking curry at the moment. Also bought a knitting mag today for 99p as I'm adament I'm going to teach myself to knit/crochet so I can make gifts for people...eventually.

2 of the kitties at vets tomorrow night and as it's payday I'm going to pay up for the jabs-for-life for one of them (the other already has it) It will cost an extra £75 on top of the £30 for her booster but as long as she has 3 more annual injections (and I'm hoping she'll live for many years) I'll save in the long run. You don't even need to pay for the consultation so I'll really benefit from it next year.

Hubby is now well and truly on board with my DF by June quest although he does keep saying "now we have more money we can..." WE CAN PAY OFF MORE DEBT MY DEAR! :rotfl: He's even suggesting being mortgage free in 10years, just got to keep him on the straight and narrow.

Think we've got the shopping budget sorted though. We're averaging £45 a week, a huge comedown from the £80 a week we used to spend :T

Payday tomorrow so planning on making a massive dent in my CC debt :) Feeling a bit deflated as the CC statement arrived yesterday and despite having paid off £300 this month, £100 hadn't been accounted for as it had missed the "deadline" and there was a £87 spend from December I'd forgotten about plus interest. So it actually looks as though I've only paid off £82 *big sigh*
  • I'm HERE! Stop the press!!!

Lilt you naughty naughty lady!!! You could always take the hoody back???? Not the sheep though - stick the little in it and post a picture please. Nothing more funny that dressing up unsuspecting children in outfits so we can laugh at them!:rotfl:

I am in a weird old mood today. Very anxious and unsettled and certainly can't get into the swing of things with work. I have been thinking about my achievements in life now that I am reaching the grand old age of 30. have I snogged enough boys? Have I traveled enough? Have I had enough crazy experiences to one day tell the Grandkiddies about..? I am not so sure.

Maybe the unsettled next few months have left me a little on edge. Needing to get lots of money together, find somewhere suitable to live AGAIN... I have moved 8 times in 1 years. It's actually really getting on my nerves now that I have to move for the 9th time!! And no it ain't because I am a misery guts and no-one can live with me....:rotfl:my friends have either moved back in with their parents, or siblings, got married, etc etc and I have to move....and I am battling horrible skin which has left me scarred and in need of heavy make-up, now its attacking my back... it's a little depressing!

I just want to float around Italy not worrying that I have to wear a cardigan in the heat because my skin is awful... I just want to be able to relax a little more. I used to be SO worried about my hair as well.. I would sleep in rollers ( painful ) to ensure I had bounce after my hair had been in a helmet for an hour en route to work... now I don't care. I don't want to have to care about my skin either....Grr!

So over the weekend - hopefully snowed in - I am going to make a little list about the things that I think I SHOULD have done and weigh up whether they are do-able or whether they are only on my list as they are what other people would classify as living??..Any of you have this thought process now and then?

I am going to try and get a few nice things in this year that I didn't get to do last year due to money restraints and the Olympics taking up everyone's time!!...I want to float around Columbia Road Flower Market, sit in Hyde Park with a full on picnic on my own and all day with a book...I want to investigate and sniff very rose in the Queen Elizabeth Flower Garden in Regents Park...( a lot of outdoor activities )...Walk through, eat at and rummage in Spittlefields Market...Go on LOTS OF DATES with hot men.... and be a little less "sensible".. just don't know how I am going to do that...

    Hmmmmph any suggestions...?? :p

NSK have you tried going to the drs about your skin? They should be able to offer you some treatment even for the scarring. Tell them it's making you really upset and self-conscious (lay it on thick) and costing you a fortune in cover up make up etc.

It's always awful when people have bad skin because it's not something you can hide especially if it's on your face / neck. The sunny weather might be good for your skin and anyway you'll be in a foreign place where nobody knows you so be 'comfortable in your own skin'.

  • Hi everyone, His missus, ive never heard of vaccination for life package ? might ask at my vets, mine are all due in april :).. my new budget is saving up for it so no scary surprises hehe...

Hi Ninja, I think the age 30 has the same effect on everyone its a milestone of growing up. My friend was just the same, its when you sit back and reflect on life, ive another year and a few months to go FEW lol.

We all have that moment where we look inside and want to know if our life is enough, have we done enough have we seen enough. The best lesson i can offer here is dont compare it doesnt do us any favours our life is our life its never the same as anybody elses. Life doesnt stop at 30 who said we have to do so many things before we are 30 ? We create our own boundaries let them go and just enjoy the time. :)

I have terrible acne on my jaw line something hormone related it cleared up when i was on the pill dianette i think thats very good for acne. True beauty comes from within and is measured by our own eyes, how we see ourselves is not how everyone else will see us embrace the mirror and love the skin your in. I learned myself a valuble lesson i look and sing in the mirror and i accept me for me its not my business to know what people think of me what matters is what i think of me. Unless someone comes up and says something rude to me i walk around and i check myself out haha because i can, we are all beautiful inside and out :)

Love and new people will find you when the time is right that time is when you see it fit and thats when you learn to love yourself :) im sure you know this better than most of us. You will probably meet some wonderful italian who serves you coffee catches the book your reading and stops to chat haha

    Hugs xx

  • Thanks for the kind words ladies. Dr's and Dermatologists seen already. Dianette and Yasmin don't work, Erythramicin is my antibiotic of choice one step down from Roaccutane which I'm not severe enough for and worries me a little too much. Scarring unfortunately is not covered for repair on the NHS.. I broke down at the Dr's last year and finally got the Dermatologists appt 3-4 months later by which stage I was on a "good" week and my skin was entirely clear!!! Grr! Antibiotics clear my face but not my back?? I'm booked in at the Dr's again..***groan*** to get a topical cream as I have cystic acne and the actual break outs are sore, ugly and take 3 months to clear completely! Just so unsexy.. Yes I'll admit I've got away with it so far cause I ain't altogether a rotter but strapless dresses, tops, corset (..ahem!..) are a no-go! AND in summer. Although I'm a lot more conscious of it than I should be.. So.. I might budget in next month a wee skin cleansing gadget that I've been after for years.. Although I'm still not sure! Might hit the eBay sales and seen what I can produce first.. It's called Clarisonic.. Go on google it!.. Kittiej I've found Environ work for scarring really well but to keep up the program I need to spend at least £150 every 6 weeks..? Their products are usually £30 a pop.. And I need at least 3.. Grr!.. Anyway..

Happy I here what your saying.. I don't give a monkeys what people think.. Bug sometimes I wonder are they thinking "shed be so lively if it wasn't for that skin".. Or "why doesn't she sort that out".. No one has but I am consciously aware Im very much less confident.. And I don't want people staring at me for the wrong reasons.. Ha ha!!

I'm on the train today! Just too cold for the bike! I get to stare at boys in suits! However the pleasure cost me £69 and is a 7 day ticket. I didn't want to risk a £19 day ticket to face paying it again on Monday in case of snow.. So I'm just praying what's left in my tank and the £18.47 of my remaining "travel" fund will do me until payday on the 31st!!

So much for the blizzard / duvet day!! However I think the bike gear, spending two hours in it a day doesn't help my skin.. This train week is a good idea...

    Onwards and Upwards!

    "£150 every 6 weeks"

Hmm I see, that is very steep but I would say if it makes you look and feel better... I know you're trying your very hardest to get to the place you want to be moneywise but you also must look after yourself.

I wouldn't wish to return to the moving every 5 minutes, this won't help your stress levels I'm sure and I know how it feels not to have a place of your own, it is an unsettling feeling. You will get to where you want to be - it will happen - just don't kill yourself in the process.

  • I have just got back from walking the dog 2 miles my ears havent fallen off and it was beautiful me and oh were admiring the peacefulness and the clean look of snow the dog on the other hand is a cocker and is crazy she was laid in it rolling around ? did she not realise it was cold ? she is comatose in front of the fire now haha.

Anyway i have been thinking all this talk of 30 that i really would like to have all my negative wealth paid before i turn 30, not that i am wishing time away but i would like to reach my freedom by then so i need to do some number crunching :) Oh how i do love the world of spreadsheets haha

Awww...NSK you sound rather down in the dumps. Can't really offer you much advice regarding your skin. I'm sure though people aren't thinking "Oh she'd be happier if..."

My Hubby's aunty turns 50 this year and she's decided to write a list of 50 things she wants to do before she turns 51. From small things like "remember grandma's birthday for once" to big exciting things like "do a parachute jump" Maybe you should consider 30 things to do when you're 30 to help you focus on positives xx
  • Peekaboo everyone.

Have yet to get daughter into lamb outfit but promise faithfully it shall be managed this weekend :D I'll post you all a shot of her then ;)

Kat - I would take the hoody back, but it's the only hoody I have bought in 18 months, so I shan't feel too bad about a £50 hoody for £8. I've worn it every day since!!
As for your acne; I do feel for you. Especially as you have tried so many things. I am one of the people blessed with excellent skin in that regard, but I have psoriasis and I know how unattractive I feel when it flares worse than usual. For the most part I try to do as Happy says and be happy with yourself... but wouldn't be all be much happier if we looked like Elle Macpherson and were a penny behind her bank account? :rotfl:

Happy - with regards to nappies etc, we really don't spend all that much. Apparently huggies nappies are no longer selling in the UK from Spring, which trust me is a GREAT thing... they leak like nothing on this earth  Pampers are great for the earlier sizes, but then Lidl own brand nappies are BRILLIANT for size 4 and up. Lidl's are £5 for 56ish which is also about the cheapest you can get!! Pampers are always on offer in ASDA where they do big boxes. I spend maybe £20 in there on pampers baby dry every 2-3 months. It's not huge amounts. I think you could safely budget £30 per month towards nappies, wipes, cotton wool, cotton buds, nappy cream, cough medicine, calpol & baby nurofen and have money left over. Bulk buying non-bio washing liquid is a good idea rather than buying in dribs & drabs as well. She doesn't cost much, my little lady, but boy is she good fun!! :D

I have procured a lift home from work!!! :D:D:D:D:D from a lovely new chap who I shall be working with quite a lot soon who happens to pretty much drive past my house morning and evening on the way to work. I am not sure whether I will take him up on the offer both ways but it will help me to get home earlier for Ellie. :D

Hope you all have a lovely afternoon :) I am waiting to see if snow will show up so far down south :D 3pm, wait & see!!
