Just popped by to say Merry Chrimbo and to thank you all for sharing your enthusiasm with me. I call in every couple of days to see what Kat has been up to :rotfl: In November I was spurred on to sell my junk/ fabulous collectibles on Fleabay.

We had to empty the loft as the LL was having extra insulation put in and my son and I found all manner of wonderful things we had forgotten about. After a bit of organisation and setting myself a system up for weighing, measuring and describing stuff we raised between us...wait for it..drum roll...£650 . Ok a couple of things were valuable we knew but £290 for 1 item was mind blowing.

I know have a bit more space in my office and you can now walk across the landing without tripping :D So in a few weeks I will start again as the things I have are quite specialised so will sell anytime - speedway memorabilia and dolls house bits.

I hope you all have a fab time, its well deserved from all the work you have been doing and I will call in again soon.

No it is a serious question actually and I am not after hay I want to know about the cost of straw - v. important that there's no hay in it won't have the same properties.

I am a long time member of MSE and am not as you think being amusing.

Have had an inbox from KittieJ about her plans schemes for a real straw house - can't blame me for assuming this was a bit of a joke considering today! :rotfl:..Hoping I have convinced her to share her desires for a very special house!

  • I hope everyone is stuffed stupid and buried up to their arm pits in wrapping paper..:rotfl:

I would love to say that I had a lovely day but I haven't! I have got myself upset, angry and annoyed by a comment put on by a user who perhaps didn't realise how she came across! I am all ready to deal with TROLLS who come up with interesting ways to hijack a very personal, very tiring although very rewarding journey I have set upon and which I decided to make public! Can you blame me for wanting to protect it in every way possible? Including a polite request to inbox another user...

But alas TROLLS may appear in any shape or form! In fact to KittieJ her TROLL was an NSK shape... And we misunderstood each other..:(

So I'm gonna take this opportunity to turn it into a little philosophy as writing is my outlet, my deliverance and I refuse to have another user ( KittieJ ) have a bad day because of my assumptions!!! ..!

So TROLLS might be a non-MSE OH, a work mate that tells you your 'sad' for bringing your lunch to work everyday in Tupperware, it could be that slight over-spend at Christmas that makes you angry and let's you assume your going to fail in 2013... Well we are NOT going to let the TROLLS win..

Whatever obstacles stand in your way you can defeat them.. Whatever controversies entwine your existence cut them free.. Hold your head up high and let the world know that you are in charge and NOTHING will allow to lose... No ones negativity will quash your positivity.. You are in charge!

Now I think I've scared KittieJ away so I'll tell you she is NOT A TROLL and has plans to make a hobbit style Eco home out of straw/hay and was genuinely not taking the pi**... Apparently they have different qualities and she wants to build her own home..

So dear readers.. I have asked her to return, change her previous post and tell us more about her Hobbit house.. I ask you all to inbox the Shire for KittieJ to give us the proper, no holds barred run through of how this can be achieved...!

Go go go... Full her inbox with a plea.. Copy and paste...

"Please post about your Hobbit House- we wanna know how you're planning this. Don't ignore NSK's pleas to change your post- the more the merrier on this journey- PLEASE!.."

  • Awww - don't be so hard on yourself NSK...

When I read Kittie's initial response I too thought she had cracked a joke and thought at the time - seems a funny place to make that remark...

Making a straw house is something quite amazing and out of the ordinary and am sure you can be forgiven for not automatically assuming that was what she meant...

Kittie - You have followed NSK's thread for a long time it sounds like... and so am sure you know she is not in any way a bad or malicious person - in fact her entire reason for being here seems to be to inspire... and the time she puts into replying to us all speaks volumes...

I honestly feel it's 100% a case of crossed wires... and I feel this board will be stronger for having both of your contributions in it... So c'mon... Please share some :grouphug: It is Christmas after all...

  • Hi Everyone...

I don't know about everyone else - but I always feel a bit in limbo at this time of year... I'm more into Solstice than Christmas anyhow, but still... now the big day is over... with a brand new shiny year around the corner... I always feel a bit impatient.

I've decided I'm really going to try and embrace 'out with the old - in with the new' this time around...

Am going to go through my clothes today and give away those things I don't ever wear if they are re-usable. Over the course of the next few days I'm going to look at my books and e-bay any I'm never going to read...

2012 has been a trying year personally full of upheaval and change - and yet - through hard work and sacrifice, the rewards have come into fruition. I'm going to write down on pieces of paper - the things I wish to release... old situations, people who no longer are in my life through choice or circumstance, old habits I wish to lose or change, the remaining debts I wish to clear... and then I'm going to burn the paper and release them... That feels like not only physically, but spiritually and emotionally clearing the decks for 2013...

This coming year takes on new significance when I think that I am aiming to be debt free by the end of it... With each day that passes... I will be thinking... believing and willing with all my heart - that this time next year I'll feel free of burden... If I work hard and apply myself for the next 365 days... then each day that passes will be like a link in the chain binding me to my debt, breaking free... Thanks for having me on this challenge!!! It has really focused me and made me more determined than ever...

(Where's NSK when you need her to say 'Onwards and Upwards' ?!?!)
