Have done an aldi shop and got lots of cereal and a few other things from 2nd purse. Also a large tin of coffee (not from Aldi) which I fill a jar with and buy back at £1.50 a time. Used the £5 off voucher at Aldi and put that money in my Christmas savings too. I have also been buying back from my stock and am very sad as I get excited about it all. Will try and update signature later. Hope everyone else is doing well. Esther x

  • bulk bought some fizzy pop as we like Morrisons 2 for £1 2L bottles of coke and lemonade. Bought 6 bottles so £3 spent and will buy more next time we are out as it's OH's birthday in 2 weeks and he has a week off so I'm sure lots will be drank and stops us from going to the corner shop and spending £1.59 on just one bottle. I also bought the utterly butterly on offer in Mr M's for 60p for 500g. I bought 5 of them as the BBE date was October. Usually spend £1 on marg even when it's on offer! so 60p was brill. When I open a new one, I will put £1 in the purse.

Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

Hi Alibo, it is exciting isn't it. I totted everything up last week as I had kept buying back from myself and chucking the money in my second purse (which is actually a box), and I had £20 to transfer to my third purse. I keep 'buying and selling' and get so excited by it. I have to keep an eye on the family and what they are helping themselves to as they have no idea I am doing this. Only that I have lots of extra food all over the place, whereever there is some space. I want to have made quite a lot of money before I introduce them to the concept. Better to present them with a success. Esther x

  • That sounds like a good idea Esther maybe they will all want to join in if you show them how much money you have because of it!

I have made meal plans from everything in the freezer and have plenty for the month so it will be good to run it down and get those huge bags of frozen veg used as its taking up too much space in the freezer!

Going shopping today so I wonder what bargains I'll find today! hehe xx

Yes, that's what I thought. For quite a long time I have had extra stores around the house as I buy bargains, so they are used to seeing them. It's just that I have now 'upped it' and am keeping track. From time to time DH complains about it all being all over but on the whole just accepts it.

Possibly buying more today. Hoping for some good bargains. Have a good day everyone. Esther x

ETA: Bought more loo roll and tea bags at Farmfoods. Managed to spend £25 and get my £2.50 off too so that is now in my Christmas savings.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't posted on here for a while. DD left primary school last week, so a busy week with parties/tears etc. Got bitten on my ankle whilst in the garden, so a trip to A&E for that, and working this week.

Second purse is back at maximum of £50 as it's payday. Used 3rd purse savings of £83.10 against DD's secondary school uniform purchase (£204 ) but every little helps. 3rd purse now has £17.10 in it to save up for something else.

Will be on holiday next week in Norfolk, then off to France the following week. Will be keeping an eye on the thread so good luck with the bargain hunting everyone ;)

I've been stocking up on a few things again and have been buying back from Esther's Bagels all week. Trying not to buy too much stuff at the moment except from myself or with second purse money. How's everyone else doing? Esther x
