Hello everyone, hope all is going well with the members of SAD

Well, I got news which will mean I will no longer be a member of SAD, one is I am debt free as of today :j:j
The other is I have met a few months back a nice man and we are giving it a go
So although not technically a SAD anymore, I still would like to post at times for support if that's ok?

Your post has made me think ..... technically I am DF (savings + budgeting pots would clear the OD if I chose to do so) but I don't think of it like that as it's money set aside for specific budgeting things.....

Grrr....I have a friend (in a couple) who about 3 weeks ago decided they want to buy a house totally out of the blue, has today had an offer accepted. Is it awful that I really can't be happy for them?
Feels like a great big kick in the teeth cause it's what I want more than anything and I've been looking for ages, but because I'm single the only places I can afford are in my budget for a reason, subsidence, next to a crack den, been flooded 5 billion times, actually just a shed .
Boo, I'm going to go and drown my sorrows in a large glass of wine
being single really sucks sometimes. 0 -
Just been reading through this thread with interest and dipping my toe in the MSE water... Lovewealthhappiness - that does sound like a kicker, a night of wine and feeling blue is necessary sometimes - as long as you get up tomorrow and shake it off and get back to being positive about your own journey.
Hello everyone else,
Can i join - i am SAD (but actually quite happy about it
) I am finally divorced and trying to get out of debt and save up enough to go travelling round the world. Well now i ain't got anyone else to worry about (bar the dog) i realise it was what i wanted to do! My debts are not major anymore (been working on it for the last few years). But i still have £1k to go and then i need to save save save, so these boards are excellent inspiration.
