Meant to say is it worth totting up our savings to make us feel better? ( excluding any upfront cost for gum/patches etc.)

I normally smoke about 5 a day so thats a saving of say £1.70 per day so at end of day four i have saved £7.20 .... excellent feel better already :)

well done 166million sure is starting to tot up gives you a bit of a boost. I wouldnt worry about the money for NRT as you could have bought used it and went back to cigs by day 2. Here we go into the weekend everyone. STAY STRONG, and maybe sober as thats my failing when i fall off the wagon.

Well done all of you who are still on the wagon (and it's not too late to climb back on to any who fell off ;) ).

From experience I can promise you it gets easier, but looking at the last few posts reminded me of this: http://www.dedicateddesigns.com/qk/

I have been quit for 1 Year, 6 Months, 1 Day, 17 hours, 38 minutes and 24 seconds (550 days). I have saved £3,910.21 by not smoking 11,014 cigarettes. I have saved 1 Month, 1 Week, 1 Day, 5 hours and 50 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 03/04/2011 15:55

Off topic - but my colleagues can't work out what the noise is when my phone text alert goes off. Every time it happens they are going 'there it is again! what is that?' I haven't told them what it is, and I am now making the phone do it on purpose. I'm so happy

I had to admit what I was up too at work today because of the text message mid morning and afternoon!

Sorry haven't been back yet, on day 5 here and actually feeling quite good. Eating a bit more than normal though but I can live with that this month.

Friday night and to be honest I haven't even thought about smoking since yesterday morning. Then I was on my day off and suddenly about lunchtime remembered I hadn't had a fag all day - didn't particularly want one but it just popped into my mind!

Well done to all trying this, keep going it will be worth it. I estimate I've saved about £10 so far on baccy, filters and papers. Going to have a nice shoe fund by the end of the month :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

Was sorely tempted yesterday as I could have killed someone at work but had a vicious gym session instead

Found today difficult. DH and the boys have been out all day and normally I only smoke outside so even though I had the usual rounds of housework to get through I just felt bored all day because I wasn't wandering in and out! Will have to get back into my gardening again so at least I see the neighbours when I'm home alone.

Forgot how much time you have when you don't stress about fitting a fag in.

Oh and my skin is looking lush at the moment. The grey tired look is definately disappearing :)
