Mega t3sco dried and tinned food shop today for delivery Sunday morning. That gives me time to sort out the pantry. We now have enough dried, canned and uht food to last 4 weeks. A bottle of baileys might have slipped in too, for the coming bad weather, of course. LolI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

I hope it holds off until the 20th. That said I'm only travelling from London to Cambridge, and if necessary I could walk the five miles from the station to my parent's home in snow (my Dad had to do it two or three times during my childhood), maybe I should start walking around more at work to build my stamina back up, since getting a more desk-based job I'm finding my legs don't want to carry me as far as they used to.0

I remember trying to walk the '20 min' walk to the shop (no bread left) in all that ice and snow we had a few years back. Took me nearly an hour, hanging on to every gate, post, fence and whatever on the way.
Hope it doesn't get that bad again.. I like a bit of the white stuff but that was dire.0 -

100% agree with you on this. Kittie are you being paid to promote his services?0 -
Can we not go back to this. Kittie, along with many of us, are long time users of this thread & any input in appreciated. If you are not interested or don't "believe" posts members make you don't need to read them but also don't need to post questioning them.0

Whatever happens either this winter or in the future due to climate change or not( and no one of us has a crystal ball to see what is actually going to happen), thanks to this thread and all who have contributed be it with practical tips and advice, well thought lists and recommendations for keeping us all warm, dry, fed, medicated and lit at home or when we're out and about, weather warnings/predictions and any other useful advice given, we will ALL be in a much better state of readiness to deal with whatever weather we DO get. SO thank you to everyone who has contributed, thank you for your time and for caring enough about the rest of us to flag up possibilities regarding weather events, for telling us where the best prices are for equipment and food and for supporting all the newcomers from day one of joining in and beginning preparedness. We are very grateful to each and every one of you, Lyn xxx.0
