  • What happened to the worst winter for decades that was forecast to start in November? Scaremongering by so-called weather experts I think.

Just ordered some curtains. They were in the sale. Just hoping they are the right shade. If they are the boys room, apart from painting the headboards and a buying a light pull is finished. Much nicer with a carpet and despite being a big room it feels cosy.

That's one room ready for winter.

  • I ordered two door curtains from Amazon for my front door & internal garage door. I'm so impressed at how warm it's made the hall way. I just wish I'd thought of it before, but thanks to this thread we've got it now! Thanks :j

i too found that the door curtain made a huge difference despite me not being able to feel any draught coming through, it certainly helps keep most of the neighbours cigarette smoke out of my house thankfully as in winter it just hangs in cold air blech

i suppose it also helped that i put up the white fleeces over the two windows too, the hall is still reasonably bright but much cozier now, little things do add up!
