Hairspray works a treat, sticks their wings together, they drop, bash them, they're a gonna.
Laughed at this, because I used it a couple of years back on huge furry spiders. I didn't bash them, mainly because I just physically couldn't, and was scared to bits of these huge things that could run. Turned out they were wolf spiders.
Hairspray works by making insects immobile for a bit. I put a glass over the spider, stuck a bit of cardboard under, carried it outside, and deposited it well away from the house.0 -
Gardens finally done for winter, summer bedding plants replaced by winter pansies (only one tray tho), car serviced and mot'd ready for winter. Painted the garage this weekend as weather lovely and dry. Wooden outdoor furniture cleaned and oiled ready to be put away for next spring. Weatherman just said next weekend is looking good so hopefully will get the gutters done.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Evening!! bought a lovely cosy fluffy mattress cover at the weekend and we put it on yesterday. Not only did it keep me toasty, it also was super comfy to sleep on. It cost us £6.99 for a double from Home bargains. Definitely worth it. Got some welly boot socks from morrisons for £2. They are long and thick and perfect for bedtime! My feet always feel the coldest part of my body!. Was a nice day so managed to wash my dressing gown and some clothes that were in the bottom of the washing basket. Woo!
Got candles burning this evening for a bit of warmth and about to make a cuppa! xx
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

Warning alert, It's 1st OCTOBER
Just in-case nobody spotted it, creeping up on us. We have really been spoilt with the weather so far the year. This time last year frost at night.
My jobs done up to date : decorated dining room, used insulated lining paper on the outside wall. new blind up, and curtains with linings. (donated linings) :money: and the room feels so much warmer all ready.
Got new winter duvets for 2 of the teenagers.
Now on the look out for cheap de-icer & small torches for the car boxes and they will be ready to go in eldest's car and ours, along with a hi-vis coat.
Now to start decorating the living room, more insulated lining paper going in there, and curtains with linings.
Happy prepping x0 -

With Regard to Radiator Panels/Foil etc, I was going to only do the radiators that are on external walls, but just thought should I do this on the one radiator that is on an adjioning wall e.g. to stop heat escaping into next doors house? (mind you their Radiator will be on the other side of the wall to mine).0

It wouldn't hurt to, if you have enough of the materials.
