I tried slippers and yes very warm but god my feet stank so I have never bought them again. I do get sweaty feet very easily though LOL

A question: If you line your bed with a fleece under the sheet, does it not ride up when you move?? If you wanted to do a double bed would you have to buy a massive fleece so you could tuck it under the mattress??

Glad it's not just me. I was sat thinking what's that honk! OMG it's my feet! Actually thinking it's just the slippers now though.

If I was putting fleece under a sheet I would maybe stitch some ties on, or elastic at corners on an angle?
My normal sheet ends up of fthe corners so I would have no hope with a fleece underneath.

I just wear thick socks now but since getting chilblains my toes get numb really quick and our kitchen has a really cold floor and its all single block brrr, so need to find something!

Thanks for reply about fleece, this is what I was thinking but wanted to check with others. OH gets very hot and doesn't need extra bedding, so could I get away with single fleece underneath or would it just scrunch up? Anyone please??

We have all sorts under our sheet [just on my side] and don't have the problem of the things rucking up - they are tucked under but only just and only onm my side - I now sleep 2 inches higher than DH lol.

My turn for a question now - can anyone suggest a VERY low cost solution to inside window condensation, DD's bedroom is suffering with a very wet window, her room is about 8x6ft, sloping ceiling and over the garage, it isn't the warmest room but she hasn't got the Rad on yet as she gets too warm in the night if the rad has been on during the day/evening. Because the window is on the sloping ceiling the condensation runs down the wall, I can solve that [tea towel tucked behind the blind cords at the bottom of the window] but I've no idea what to do to stop the water

    Thanks
    Helen

  • Whats it like if you just leave the window open a bit for the day?
I've got condensation on my hall window, theres no heating at all and no air - so I am thinking heat and an airing would help?

I've another question, can anyone recommend a good place on-line for brushed cotton bedding?
I changed my bedroom scheme and need new bedding anyway.

it won't stop the condensation but a bowl of salt will soak up the extra condensation in the room, best to leave it in the window sill, when there is more water than salt use the salt to scrub the sink, loo etc and then flush or wash down the sink and replace with more salt. table salt is really cheap and can be bought in 3kg bags from asda etc

i would suggest trying freegle to see if you can pick up a used dehumidifier sounds like the room really needs it
