  • They break all the rules of online trading.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

They promise on their webiste that despatch will be in 24 hours with 6-9 days for delivery ...... but 5 days, 2 emails and 1 phone call later and they say that perhaps shipment in another 5 to 10 days, even though website states 5 units in stock!!

This company will go bust with this consistently bad service feedback - once bitten twice shy.

Just hope the camera arrives before that event!

No they won't - they are doing fine on people who consistently place orders for non-existent items !!
They must make millions on people who fail to complain and just accept things as they are and even more on orders that are not delivered with people who use "chargeback" which is down to the banks to fund !!

It won't arrive - unless you are extremely lucky...
  • I ordered 2 Samsung tablets on the 27th August and 16 were showing "in Stock" at the time of order.
This of course turned out to be total nonsense as they were never despatched.
Nearly 2 weeks later I cancelled the order with Skrill who took the money.
I was promptly refunded which is just as well as I was hoping mad with myself as much as them for being so stupid to order from a firm who doesn't even display an address on their website. In addition it seems they no longer have Paypal merchant status.

Value baskets prices were significantly lower than elsewhere which brings to mind the old adage "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is".
Looking at the large number of reviews on here and elsewhere I'm wondering if they fulfill some orders to get some good reviews and bank the money from the rest for as long as possible.

I suspect many of the good reviews online are not genuine either.
For example, Why would someone leave a good review about customer service when he was still awaiting delivery for his goods?
Do not even think about buying from this company.
My backside is still sore from where I have been kicking myself.
  • Just to warn people further, simplyelectronics.net are the same bunch of scam artists (skrill). I ordered a LG G3 with these guys and had the same unfulfilled promises.

I am now gaining a refund through my credit card, as should everyone else asking for refunds as VISA and MASTERCARD have rules that retailers have to follow, and if they don't your bank can just take the money back from the retailers bank.

A chargeback is when a customers bank gains the money from the retailers bank due to retailers not adhering to the VISA or MASTERCARD rules. Banks only pay for disputed transactions under £25 as it's not financially viable for them to investigate.

While I appreciate the point about single post users, I tend to find people posting covert comments about a company tend to be positive and in this case this thread seems entirely accurate about ValueBasket. I came across them when searching for a camera on froogle and was immediately suspicious as they were a lot cheaper than anyone else. Most of the genuine looking user reviews and comments I could find about the company were negative so I didn't proceed with an order.

While your whole 17 posts are going to rock the world? Sorry, couldn't resist ;). This company, valuebasket.com are the pits, have no morals or decency and should be complained about to Visa and Mastercard so that those organisations can do something about this shower of thieves.
