Tried making contact with this company by phone, You just get a recorded message saying they are having technical difficulties with their phone. Suspicious? Also asked if I could have sony warranty instead. This they did not allow. Waiting for reply to request if I can pick up goods. Don't hold your breath0

Must admit, I found reading this thread a little odd. Lots of first time posters (can't remember if I have actually posted before so this might be somewhat hypocritical) stating that they have had bad experiences. As some posters have stated, it seems VB have fairly shocking customer services relative to quite ambitious delivery timescales etc. I ordered a tablet for my girlfriend over a year ago, and while the tablet was late in arriving it was in good shape and has worked since with absolutely no issues. Lucky perhaps, but also perhaps there is a little foul play going on in this thread. This year I have ordered myself a Samsung Galaxy S6. We shall see when that arrives.
And no I don't work for VB before asked.0 -
I have had a good experience with Value Basket. Price was excellent and product is as described (ipad air 2 64GB). The only slight problem is that delivery takes a few weeks and progress information is a little light. But if you stick with it the product will arrive just after you get an email announcing its arrival!0

I ordered a camera (Canon 1200D) off this site because it was £40 pounds cheaper than on Amazon. I wanted to cancel the order and was placed into their ticket system were I received a message asking me why I wanted to cancel and that was 6 days ago. After constantly using this ticket system to try and contact them I decided to ring them. 1st attempt I was put on hold for 10 minutes so just hung up. 2nd attempt they hung up on me. I've contacted my bank about disputing the order but I imagine I'll never see that £212 ever again. Awful site never use ever!0

Either contact verificationteam@kwikchex.com - they may be able to help (they helped me get my money back from simply electronics ( a sister company to valuebasket)
or rely on charge back to reclaim the money from your card provider !!0 -
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS NON EU ONLINE COMPANY.
REVIEW TRUSTPILOT W?SITE TOO.
Ordered Nikon Coolpix AW130 camera in Nov 2015, despite website retoric I would receive within 7 days, received Xmas week!
It was a Xmas pressie for my hubby. Once opened on Xmas day, the camera WOULD NOT CHARGE, NOT EVEN WITH OTHER COMPATIBLE CHARGERS.
Contacted Valuebasket.com via 'phone, this was a monumental feat in itself!!!!!
Complacent customer service. I have been made to jump through hoops, even asking me to send numerous pictures of the product.
Repeated e-mail correspondence requests for an RMA (return mail address) and a subsequent full refund of £168.00, has been met with avoidance and irritation from Valuebasket.com.
It is now February 15th 2016, and STILL NO REPLY FROM VALUEBASKET.COM
AVOID THIS ONLINE COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE, SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ON A REPUTABLE, HONOURABLE, TRUSTED AND RELIABLE/CARING COMPANY; NOT VALUEBASKET.COM!!!!!!!

I ordered a Sony Xperia Z5 compact on Feb 1, 2016. They apparently had 4 in stock. Their immediate email confirming my order said "Ready to be shipped: 2 - 5 working days", "Delivered: 5 - 8 working days".
I emailed them on the 9th and had a reply on the 10th, "...your order escalated to priority status and see that we've already had it upgraded to expedited delivery. I expect your order to be dispatched in the next few business days." I then emailed on the 12th, 13th and 16th Feb asking to cancel my order as it was still "Order Processing", not even "Dispatched". I needed my new phone badly by this point.
11 working days on from the moment of sale I gave up being polite trying to find out what was going on and on the 16th Feb, realising I wasn't getting through to anyone and no-one was likely to reply I emailed them consistently for 30 minutes, using their automated 'contact us' option, creating a new enquiry every time. I have done the same today. Just over 30 emails in total, each email stating in no uncertain terms I wanted to cancel my order and an immediate refund.
I finally heard from someone after this barrage of requests: "...see that there has been a (substantial) delay in shipping, for which I offer you our sincere apologies, and hope that it hasn’t caused you too much inconvenience...", "...we would like to offer you a free SanDisk 4GB microSDHC. We appreciate this is just a small gesture given the inconvenience but we hope it goes some way in restoring your confidence in our services." You can pick up a 4GB microSDHC for £2.60. I paid £300 for the phone.
I received one other email asking for me to log on again and tell them why I wanted to cancel my order and if it was indeed what I still intended to do. Believe me, I left no ambiguity in emails as to what I wanted and why.
My current order status, as of Feb 17, is "Order Held". The system doesn't even acknowledge my order as being cancelled and I can't buy a new phone from someone else until I receive a refund.
I ask you this: If anything goes wrong with my phone at all, is it likely I will have a smooth customer experience trying to rectify the issue? If I need a refund because it's faulty, how long will this take? (Some have reported months by the way) Valuebasket may be cheap, but I've realised why you pay an extra £50 for a nationally renowned and well reviewed merchant. Trust, speed, a stress free purchase, and confidence going forward. Valuebasket, in my experience, will never offer any of those. Please. Treat yourself, and go elsewhere.0 -
I ordered a Sony Experia Aqua mobile phone on 3 February. Delivery was promised within 8 working days. 13 working days later - nothing! According to my Account page, it hasn't even been dispatched. However, I was thanked for my patience and it was now a priority order, I am not patien and VB's idea of a priority is laughable.t. My old phone contract has run out and I need a new phone. My 2 e-mails has received no reply. I contacted them by telephone twice. The 1st time, I was told, the delay was done to the Chinese New Year! The 2nd time (getting through after an 18 minute wait - no apology, even after I asked for one) I was told it was because of a "backlog". However, she would get back to me the same day by e-mail, giving me the delivery date. Needless to say, she didn't. I wish I had never had any dealings with them and will be braving the long telephone wait to cancel my non-existent order tomorrow. Avoid like the plague! This is NOT how online commerce is supposed to work. WIth this lot, you would be better off popping down the High Street.
