Thanks everyone for all the positive words about the work stuff, i will definitely feel all your positive vibes in the room with me.

Well not one for me yesterday or today, went out to the pub to meet my old man friend yesterday, he's had some bad news it's looking very much like his mum has cancer & he'll be in hospital for a couple of days soon, as they are worried that the heart surgery he had a year ago hasn't worked as well as it should :( He's trying to put on a brave face, but i can see that he is really worried about it all. I'm gutted for him & also a bit scared about it all too..... Makes me think that it should put my work stuff in perspective, but it just feels like more trouble piled on top of what is already there, surely karma should give me a break soon?????

Today wasn't one as i did my grocery shopping but really chuffed as my bill for the week was only £18.47 & that included a punnet of strawberries as a treat :j

wow, meant to post earlier, thought I had but apparently not :o

Firstly, get well wishes to Rising xx

Not a NSD for me today, stopped at L!dl to pick up more toilet roll and branston beans as they were on offer for £1 ... got 24 cans in total, good job I did get toilet roll :eek: Then did a bit of anti-shopping, took back £41 of 'stuff' although did buy a £4 scarf :o Bloomin trousers I'd ordered from JL were the same wrong pair I'd returned previously  Then picked up a few bits in 99p shop, 6 items so not too bad.

Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend

Thankfully Mutha seems to be immune to this particular lurgy (& good thing too as our flu jabs are not till next month :o ) but I have had to succumb to a few siestas this week _pale_ So to Fellow Sufferers I wish you a speedy recovery & to RFtA, take ya time Hun, & make sure you are Well. We will wait for you; promise x

I am reading every day, but not been up to posting. Mum took a bit of a stumble about 10 days ago--nothing serious but has shaken her confidence a lot more than she is admitting to--& there seems to be nothing but medical appointments for someone or other that have to be kept, rescheduled or chased up for some reason :wall: --even Pup has to go for his j-a-bs!

Still, it has meant I've accumilated a nice no 15 so every cloud & all that :D

Oh..before I go..is it Equinox or something this month? I'm in the mood for a bit of Pa8an Rite$, stripping willow or hunting Yule logs..I follow no particular faith & know very little about this one to my shame, but I am keen to learn should anyone know of reliable reading matter...

  • Hmmmn,
I thought I'd checked in here last night but evidently not. I did manage to bag nsd 5 yesterday, which is a bit of a freak occurence for a Saturday as that's my spendy day. However I have no £ at the moment so my DH bought the grocery shopping, and treated us to lunch out, how very lovely.
Today I was planning a minor spend but my son is pukey. Might mean we don't get out at all.... will report back later.

    Good morning, all!

Not a NSD today as had to top up bread etc for in the week. Hoping to clear freezer out so stand by for some interesting meals this week! (That's what being nearly skint a week before payday does)

BigMumma - Even as we speak Igor is busy brewing up a batch of pumpkin brandy for the Samhain celebrations on 31st October, and he will be sending out invitations to all NSD gang members for the traditional get together at Ennessdee Towers. Look out for the envelope caked in toadslime dropping through your letterbox any day now......
