Oh..before I go..is it Equinox or something this month? I'm in the mood for a bit of Pa8an Rite$, stripping willow or hunting Yule logs..I follow no particular faith & know very little about this one to my shame, but I am keen to learn should anyone know of reliable reading matter...

It is indeed Samhain Oct 31st Nov 1st, this is the time that pagans remember those who have passed, lots of different ways to do this, some have a meal and set a place for the ancestors (past family members) some like to get together with others, and hold a ritual for those who have passed, some really hardcore people (not me) stay up all night telling stories etc.
Good books to read anything by Ronald Hutton for the historical side, some good general books about Pagans and what we do are Paganism - an introduction to Earth centre reglions by Joyce and River Higginbotham, Principles of Paganism by Vivianne Crowley, What do Pagan Believe by Graham Harvey I've read all these and can recommend them. Hope that's of use.
No prizes for guessing which faith I follow :rotfl:you are more than welcome to ask questions if you want to know anything else.

Look out for the envelope caked in toadslime dropping through your letterbox any day now......
OHHH, THAT'S what landed on my mat yesterday morning, I thought the cat had puked :rotfl:
I'm up for an evening of jovial celebrations, though i'm bringing my own glass this time, I thought last year's 'noveltly' skulls were sourced from the pound shop, how was I to know Igor had been down in the recently located (thanks to Tony R and that hairy bloke) medieval dungeons :eek::eek:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Sorry about the skulls, Kerri, Igor was desperate to add to his NSD total for the month so used a bit of creative thinking......(I know, the concept of Igor having thought processes is hard to swallow - rather like his culinary efforts at times.)
He did mention that it would be nice if anyone who is planning on attending would let him know what costume they will be wearing as he is anxious not to clash with anyone. As for me, I am trying to decide between the purple satin shroud, the vampire frock and the leather bat creation. One life - your life - live it!0 -
Good Afternoon folks,
No NSD for me today, as I have been away to a cash and carry to buy chicken, beef and pork for the freezer:). I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and enjoys what is left of it.If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Hi everyone
Just popping in to say hello and apologise in advance as I won't be able to do Monday and Tuesday's updates this week. I've got a mega-busy week ahead of me and I'm not going to be able to fit everything in.
If anyone would like to do one of the updates please feel free.
I'll try and pop back later in the week to catch up with you all, I know I've probably missed loads this week:o:o
See you all soon
