Hello Everyone
Jill36's posted a question about whether ticking for marketing affects one’s chances of winning: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=4192581
Blulu and I have decided to conduct a survey over the next 3 months, with your help, to see if ticking the marketing box seems to make any difference. If you would be happy to help, we would be grateful if every time you win you post about it here, stating any that apply of the following:
A: You hardly ever tick for marketing
B: You sometimes tick for it
C: You nearly always tick for it
Did you tick the box for the prize you have just won (if you can remember)
If you would prefer, feel free to PM Blulu or myself instead of posting here. We will then get back to you with the results probably early in the new year. We realise this is not an exact science and there may be other ways to do it but we are trying to keep it simple.
Please don’t bother posting about Facebook or Twitter wins as ticking for marketing doesn’t apply with those comps.

Happy to help out too.
I usually win around 10-15 competitions a month, and always opt out of the marketing if possible. Thanks to all those lovely people who contribute to this website.

A: You hardly ever tick for marketing
Only ever time I EVER tick is if I have to in order to enter the competition, or have no choice for whatever reason.
Have been comping since mid August, about 60 comps a day and my wins are in my signature :-)
Happy to help xWishing everybody health and happiness

Thanks loads guys. It'll be so interesting to see if this does make a difference. Well done SOOBEE for coming up with the idea, and also getting it going. You don't mess about, do you :T:T:T
It's fine if people don't want to join in. We don't need it be everyone; just a good mix of those who want to. Thanks in advance to all players :T:T:TI am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!

But then I've not won a jot for 18mths lol"Those who try to make sense of the world are divided into four categories: scientists, theologians, philosophers, and fools. Correction ... make that one category with three sub-divisions" -- Carlo Kensada0 -
A: You hardly ever tick for marketing
Like a lot of other posters, I never tick for marketing unless I absolutely have to, in fact if it's mandatory to accept marketing it has to be a prize I really want [like an iPad, please please please].
I started in May and had a good start, winning an X Box Console in the first couple of weeks, reasonable wins until mid August when they have dried up
But I'm still not gonna tick that box!!2024 £72, 2023 £2230, 2022 £300, 2021 £1800, 2015 £3790, 2014 £44600
