Hugs to you Hewie29. Good idea to do some research. Have a cup of tea while you do it as it can be scary reading. You Mum is so young to be facing that too. Take it easy xx
Today I've been mostly trying to keep warm. So very cold here. Got a bit of exercise today (not 5 miles though WW!!).
Had a good sort out of gloves/scarves/hats today. Realised how nice a pricey leather pair feel. They were something like £40 but make my hands look elegant!
Managed a bit of Loreal BB cream, a dab of cream blush. Need to take more care with my hair. I have lots of products so have no excuseDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Oh Hewie I am glad you had such a lovely time in Florida but I am so sorry to hear about your mum. I really have no advice but just wanted to send you much love xxx if you want to keep talking on here that's fine by me. Hope the meeting with the specialist helps you xxxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Hi all,
Cherry - I tend to be very much the same in that I will write a big block at once but then nothing else for days. I'm trying to use this as an opportunity to get into the habit of doing something every day (or at least most days). The fit and flare dresses look nice, might have a trip down to DPs when I have some spare money.
EH - hope you're feeling a bit better, I second the people saying to see your GP, you shouldn't have to put up with that kind of pain x
LL - hope you're feeling better as well (we do seem a bit of a poorly lot at the moment!)
Hewie - I'm so sorry about your mum, sending you *hugs* and please post on here as much as you want to get things down x
Went out with OH's mum and dad last night to see a local band we know, was quite a good night. Got a little annoyed with OH today though as they are going for a meal tonight and out for lunch tomorrow, both of which they were trying to get me to go to but I said I didn't think would be able to as have things on/lots of work to do. He says that's fine in front of them, then when we get home is trying to guilt-trip me into going to them anyway  They've come up on short notice so I don't really see why I should have to drop everything to see them every single day!
Still, had quite a nice day today, went to the Nano launch event at a local bookstore. Was good to meet up with fellow writers and see how everyone else is getting on. Was quite surprised how many people were there - lots more crazy people in the local area then I realised :rotfl:Was meant to be a write in as well but didn't get much done on that of it. I don't have a laptop so only had a pad anyway and was a bit too distracting with everyone chatting. Done about 1k words since I got home so will do some more in a bit and hopefully make word count for today.
Going on an organised walk tomorrow, am hoping the weather will be like today - been a bit cold but bright and sunny. Hopefully will blow a few cobwebs away after sitting in writing
Hope everyone is having a good day x0 -
Quick post to send you a big hug hewie. :grouphug:

I have yet to be in your position but I would try just taking each day as it comes. Enjoy as many moments as you can with your mum, whilst the cancer is terminal it maybe she is around for longer than you expect xxx
Perhaps it might be a good idea to write down any questions you have when you see the specialist. That way you have a reminder of anything you want to ask xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Good idea Bitsy.
Last day of the hols today - its gone way too quickly. Think its because I worked on Mon and Tues so in reality I have only have had 3 real days off.
Need to do some schoolwork today - its not urgent but will mean that I have a much easier time over the next couple of weeks if I finish it off before I go back to work.
Also need to do a bit of running - will only give the dog shorter walks today - he is getting on for 9 years old so don't want to wear him out too much - 100 km is a very long way for little legs!
The house needs a quick whizz around with the hoover and a duster and the laundry needs sorting out.
So just a typical Sunday ahead really.......0
