I woke up at 5.40am and managed to get back off again until 6.30am then decided may as well get up.
I'm having a walk up to town to get a few bits and will assess how I'm feeling afterwards. Otherwise it's a quiet day for me and I'll see if I'm up to pushing the hoover around later onfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Ehxx
Are they always this painful? Have you ever been investigated for endometriosis as that can cause really painful periods. Please go and see your GP, no one should have to suffer like this xxx
Cherry print last time I went into a dotty p's shop I thought it was rubbish but just had a nose at their website and what a great selection of dresses. Sadly not enough lower necks for me thoughneed lower scoop neck or v neck for my apple body.
Sparkles don't over do it xxx
I fancy getting some Barry M nail polishes, my Rommel ones just don't cut the mustard longevity wise. I heard Barry M are quite long lasting and are 3 for 2 in Superdrug :money:
Other than that not much else fabbing wise. Struggling to juggle walking the dog as she's finally come into season so don't like doing it when everyone else is up and about. Might go throw a rag on and do it now,

EH - hope you're feeling a bit better now? Period pain is horrible. I'm with Bitsy on this - go and get it checked.
Sparkles - hope your little trip out doesn't leave you too exhausted.
I'm off on an organised walk this morning - its only a 4 mile one so won't be a marathon but will get me out and about for a couple of hours and it will get the 100 km challenge walk out of the way for the day.
Otherwise not a tremendous amount planned - I'm economising until payday so no splurges today.
Will do a face scrub, face mask and a hair mask in the bath tonight as an effort towards fabbing. I'll also do a bit more batch cooking later - a chickpea and veg curry today, one for tea and two for the freezer, I'm trying to make my own "ready meals" to stop me eating rubbish after work next week. Have already done an extra cheese and potato pie and 2 portions of veggie spag bol. Will also make some leek and potato soup to add to the stores.
I must admit that I'm feeling a lot better since starting the 100 km challenge - apart from feeling a lot less bloated, I've slept better and feel more focussed - I guess I'm the sort of person that needs a target to focus on:)
Realised last night that its 6 weeks to my Xmas do - that's my goal date for getting to my target weight and fabbing pinnacle(!):rotfl:Still some work to do!
PS Has anyone had a flu jab yet? Saw in Tesco that they're doing them for £10, I always used to have one provided by work but now I teach I don't get one - I suppose I should really as I'm surrounded by germ ridden kids all day.0 -
Hello,
Thanks lovely ladies I got an hour or 2 sleep then needed more tablets. I suffer but not usually this bad I will go to drs and ask for investigation/tests.
Luckily not much planned today so sofa & hot water bottle meeting friends this afternoon so looking forward to that.

Amen, sister:rotfl::rotfl:
Some early birds on here this morning.
EH - I'll add my tuppence. Definitely go and see the Doctor. Don't put up with pain like that.
Well I slept well - not quite sure how I feel yet. At least the headache has eased off a bit. DS2 has also succumbed - he slept 14 hours straight yesterday. I spent most of the day on the sofa, just drifting in and out of sleep.
Still feel pretty tired so probably won't do much today.
It's dark, wet and miserable today - luckily I don't have to go out or do anything in particular.
I was scheduled to visit OH of course. They are doing a bit of a special Bonfire supper and a few fireworks . I'll see how I feel although it would perhaps be better if I didn't go. I'm not sure how contagious I am.
I've done no Christmas preparations yet.:( I must get cracking soon.0 -
LL - hope you feel a little better today and thanks for the 'Amen, sister', that made me smile and chuckle!
Back from town on a dismal grey and very cold day so only going on once more today in the early to mid afternoon to take Mr Dog out before the fireworks start this evening.
Collected the dog's toothpaste to do tomorrow - lovely job! Also picked up some more intensive handcream as my hands need it from s*perdr*g, some postage bags from ebays sales (hopefully).
Certainly didn't feel great out there and was very glad to get home for a hot drink and a scone or two. Feel better than this time last week but certainly nowhere near back to normal. Who knew a virus could affect someone like this for 3 weeks and another one next week - I had no idea it could be so. Not planning on going anywhere tomorrow so will have a nice quiet warm day at home again and then ring the Drs on Monday. Not up to much for the rest of the day and will just be wrapped up warm and maybe watch a film this afternoon

Thanks for posting about the Dotty P dresses cherry, they look great. I need a new black dress (old one too big:D) and fancied this
I'll go into town and check them out soon.
I was up earlyish too this morning and have been out and done food shop and back before 11 o'clock and a machine load of washing sorted. Shops were really quiet. I might do it again!;) It's a glorious day here so far although I think rain might be coming later.
There's a virus going around which sounds like what some of you might be suffering from. DH and I both had colds about 5 weeks ago. Luckily I got over mine in a week but DH s still suffering, feeling really washed out, cough, tight chest etc. Cosset yourself ladies!
On the OHs doing chores discussion: I think mine is the exception that proves the rule. In fact he's positively anal about it!:rotfl:It can have it's downsides when he insists on hoovering/cleaning when I think the place looks fine but I just grit my teeth and let him get on with it! When we both worked, we were in similar jobs with similar hours so it was logical to share chores. I think I have to thank my MIL. DH is one of the eldest of a large family and the 4 eldest were all boys so she encouraged them to do their fair share around the house as she needed the help. I also think that living in what must have been a chaotic household has made him react by being houseproud (several siblings also like it).
Well done on the batchcooking ww. I used up my last bolognese this week so will be making a big pot later.
Back soon.0 -
Nice frock Maman - you got me thinking - my black dress similar to the one in the picture is now too big too and I found it really handy for everything from funerals to work, might have a look at it myself (if you don't mind us having the same frock:rotfl:).
Just back from the walk that turned out to be over 5 miles (8km) not just under 4! The dog is shattered bless him. Won't get a peep out of him until tea time now.
Its taken me up to over 17km towards the 100km goal. Getting there!
On the subject of viruses, some can go on and on so please take care of yourselves and give yourself a chance to fight it off - no grinning and bearing it - get some rest and eat well, it will pay off in the long run!0 -
Well my plans for a nice rest were thwarted.
Had another viewing today - they don't seem that keen.
I'm shattered now so a little nap is required and then a quiet night on the sofa.
This virus thing has triggered off my neuralgia and has made my teeth really sensitive. Woe is me.
I've ran out of sensodyne too so now I've got to nip out and get some.
Pretty dress, Maman - a nice little classic. I must admit I like to hit the shops early too - can't stand it when they are crowded - which is why I really must make a start on the Christmas thing.
DS2 has just suggested we cancel Christmas:eek: Can you imagine his little face if he woke up on Christmas morning and realised that Santa hasn't paid a call. :rotfl:0 -
Hi all, sorry for my absence.
I have just come back from a wonderful holiday in Florida, had the best time ever.
Sadly though I've come back to some very sad news, I have just found out that my mum has brain and lung cancer, the brain cancer being terminal. I knew she was having tests before we went away but didn't know quite what for, mum and dad didn't want to tell me or my brother (went on hol with my brother and his family) as they didn't want to spoil our holiday. Bless them, it must have been very hard for them to go through that on their own. I am going to the hospital on tuesday with them to see the specialist and we will then find out what treatment lies ahead.
I am very scared, my mum is only 59. Both mum and dad are feeling positive though and I know she will fight it as hard as she can.
Sorry for posting this on here but had to get it down and off my chest abit and didn't want to do it on facebook.
They have already been appointed with a Macmillan nurse and told about what help they can get.
Off now to do some research.
