  • Evening All,

WW - Babychimp the thought made me chuckle. Reminds me must shave legs but got no man to impress at the moment!

I've made a chocolate cake tonight testing out a new recipe so will take to work tomorrow they are quite happy to eat my cakes!

My back pain / sciatica has flared up good and proper tonight, so some gentle stretching and painkillers for me, otherwise I will be on wine for medicinal purposes of course and will help me sleep.

Might try to finish my cardy I'm knitting tonight, stops me eating rubbish in front of tv as can't eat and knit! :)

Did defuzz today in the pm shower!

As had a very quiet day - decided to go to the supermarket in the car and do the weekly shop then made some chicken scotch broth as the soup I bought earlier this week just didn't cut it for me as I'm so used to HM soup. Still not up to much so it will be another quiet day tomorrow and another quiet weekend hoping to feel much better next week as I've been out of action for 3 weeks now.

Feeling a little bit better due to not doing much at all today as not up to much. Let's see how I am tomorrow

  • Evening everyone!

November seems to be a bit of a crazy month for challenges! I wonder if anyone's grown a moustache, written a novel and done the 100km all in one month! I wonder why these challenges can't run in January when nothing happens!

I'm not very good at staying fuzz free, but I'll make more of an effort to keep up the epilating and do it at least once a week (I'm so rubbish at epilating!!)

National novel writing month starts today...and I've tried to get into the website but it keeps crashing. I will try again tomorrow. Last year I was so enthusiastic doing this challenge that my OH started writing a book he has been dreaming about for years. I'm still hopeful I can get him to finish it this year...:D

It's Starbucks 2 for 1 on Christmas drinks this weekend :j and being that I'm addicted to both gingerbread and eggnog lattes, I might go to Starbucks and be the muppet in the corner with a laptop. (I could use the sugar high to power me through a decent word count. ;)

Bitsy - glad you had a good time in Bath! I love it there. :)

mineallmine - I seem to have missed the boat with mineral makeup. Is it much different to normal stuff?

bratz - your chore chart sounds brilliant :rotfl: Please draw one up for me and get me to turn my floordrobe back into a wardrobe!

I'm off to dream up a story! Have a good night all xx
Not buying any more 1.)books 2.)toiletries, esp. LUSH! 3.)stationery, unless absolutely necessary!

    xx

I love mineral make up :D liquid stuff (even Est!e Lauder double wear slide off my face :() but mineral stays better, helps with any breakouts and doesn't make my pores feel clogged.

  • Fabbing has gone out of the window this week. I have been supply teaching and this is the first week I have worked full time and have had massage clients in evenings.

The school asked me to stay on for the rest of the year, which I am happy about but I will probably need to seriusly need to rethink if/when I continue to take clients too. It has been a good week and I have enjoyed it but I am totally exhausted and have negelcted the fabbing.

Relaxing weekend on the cards (ish - with some prep work for school too!) and early nights all round.

Congratulations on the teaching job Allie - its exhausting isn't it! Seems to take over your life!

Last day of half term for me today - don't feel like I've had much of a break as I worked Monday and Tuesday, oh well, thinking of the money.

Taking the dog to the vets for his poorly ear to get checked over this morning - its much better now and he even endured a good bath and blowdry yesterday - looks very cute and fluffy now - it won't last.
Then I'm off to the shops to take a top back - could do with the £25 back, will go towards the vet bill.:o Will not buy anything to replace it.
Then its off to Asda (opposite the shops) for a change of shop and to buy the bits needed for the week ahead.

I'm aiming for 5K today on the walking/running challenge - will try to get up to 10K by the end of day 2.

I'm booked on to a ghost walk this evening - not sure whether I'll go yet, will see what the weather looks like.
Hope everyone has a good day.

    morning all :)

LL + WW - I definitely don't feel brave! I'm terrified of needles but love the end product so needs must.

podperson - ah yes the nagging sucks. I feel like his mother sometimes, pick that up, do that, don't put that there, etc. Which considering we don't want children is not a role I'm interested in haha!

cherryprint - I'll come over and nag you into tidying :D

I use a cheapie version of it - Collection 2000 do a mineral powder foundation. They've changed the packing and it's a bit of powder in a twist up brush. The brush seems a bit naff, you could always put the powder in another pot. It gives a good quick finish.

Have a face mask on while I'm on here to do a bit of fabbing :A

    Good morning ladies

Sparkles - I think I've caught your lurgy. I feel dreadful. I've been feeling a bit "off it" for a couple of days now but couldn't quite put my finger on it. Well now I know why. DS2 is also poorly.

Fortunately the diary doesn't look too bad until Wednesday so I can just shuffle a few things around and take a few days to nurse myself better. The freezer and cupboards are full, the house is clean. I just need to nip out to the local shops for a few bits and then I can retire to the sofa for a couple of days.:(

I may have to not visit OH for a few days - I don't want him or the other residents catching this.

Well ladies I have surpassed myself - I now own two dresses.:rotfl: Cheap and cheerful from ASDA & Sainsbury's.

I took notice of your advice re Sainsbury's clothing sale Maman. Yesterday I took advantage of their 25% off. I bought 4 t-shirts for OH, and then for me a red knitted dress, two thermal vests, two camisole tops and two nightshirts. £63 the lot.

From ASDA - I bought some tops for OH, some thermal worksocks for DS2 and for myself a lime green top, a navy and lime green cardigan and a navy and lime green sweater dress. Again about £50 so that's us all stocked up for now.

Lots of zingy colours to brighten up the dull winter days.:D

I think that whilst I am confined to the sofa I might try and make a bit of jewellery. I've got a nice stack of books and a backlog of films and tv programmes so I shall be quite happy for a few days.

pp - I'll let you into a little secret - my darling OH was the most undomesticated man on the planet. Just like you every so often I would blow up and he would knuckle down for a couple of days "helping":rotfl: To be fair he worked long hard hours, had a long commute, brought work home and was also often call too. Overnight work sessions were not uncommon.

I decided it was unfair to expect him to do much so I looked for ways around the prooblem. TBH - it was not worth the aggro or the upsets so when I worked I just got a cleaner in. When I didn't work I just did the bulk of it myself.

However, if ever I was ill he would step up to the plate, even if his idea of "cooking" was either a tin of soup or a takeaway. :rotfl: I suppose by today's standards it was an old fashioned marriage but it worked for us. I guess you just have to find what works best for you.

I do think that if you are both working though the domestic stuff has to be shared. Far too many modern relationships still end up with the woman doing the lion's share of the childcare and housework - even when she works full time. Far too many men still don't really pull their weight.

I only hope my boys do the decent thing - that's if they ever get proper live in girlfriends. Still no sign jet. DS2 and his lovely girlfriend have recently gone their separate ways.

Yes I'm sure we'll find some good challenges for January.

I love this thread - one thing we are not short of is imagination.:D

Adelight - glad to hear that the teaching is going well.

Time to start the day as best as I can. I think plenty of rests and the odd nap will be required. I shall have to buy some ice-cream for my sore throat.

No offers on the house so far. Never mind. I can bide my time.
