    Morning all,

LL - wish I had something better to say, but am thinking of you and sending virtual *hugs* feel free to offload on here as much as you want x

Bitsy - great news on H officially getting the job :j hope things get sorted quickly and with a minimum of stress :)

Choir last night so not really any fabbing done, was quite knackered by the time I got home, was in bed before 11pm - which is really early for me. Probably the reason I woke up at 6 this morning! Managed to nod back off for an hour though. Applied for an editing job a few weeks back and was thinking it was a bad sign that I hadn't heard anything, but got an email last night asking me to take an editing test for them. Not getting my hopes up too much yet but would be great if I could get it, bit of extra money and think it would something I would really enjoy. Doesn't look like I'm going to make the organised walk tonight, got the time on it muddled and won't be able to make it there from work after all. Definately going to go to the one on Sunday though -just hope it doesn't chuck it down :)

LL glad you slept well. Enjoy your soak.

Bitsy I'm a big fan of lists. I dropped them off a bit while kids were at home but have restarted, I find they help me get more done and if I don't manage everything I just forward it to next weeks to do list.

    Sparkles- Happy birthday.:bdaycake:
Maman Those shoes look lovely could do with a pair similar my self .
Mmmmm might have a look. I really like Asda for affordable clothes.

Went to yoga last night, I'm really hoping I am going to be able to carry on with this. It's gentle stretching, the instructor is very good at ensuring you don't do anything your body can't cope with. Also the relaxation at the end is wonderfull, I come out feeling really refreshed and chilled. Add to that the fact that all the others in the small group are v. friendly, it's fun and there's lots of funny comments and laughing making it a really uplifting experience.

I now have a newly cut head of hair in a darkish red colour (wasn't sure about the colour but hairdresser liked it) and so am feeling much more fab. :)

I have also lost another pound, not as much as I'd hoped but have had a few blips this week and at least it's in the right direction so that's good enough for me.

Right must get off to walk the dogs......

Take care, hope you all have a good day. x

Just a quick catch up.Back from hospital, OH had his Botox. I was rather hoping they might have a spare syringe lying around for me - I could sure do with it right now.:rotfl:

He seemed quite bright and perky today although he was exhausted by the time we got back. Anyway I managed to make him laugh a few times playing the fool and cracking jokes.

My eyes hurt so skipped the slap today - going to have a bite to eat then lie down and hopefully a nice siesta.Dinner and that will do me for today. I can play catch up tomorrow. Have a nice lunch planned with a friend tomorrow.

Maman - shoes look nice, agree with not spending money on new outfit for the wedding. If you see something you fall in love with then fair enough.

At one time I would panic buy an outift for a special occasion, not really like it and never wear it again. I don't do that anymore. Finally learned a bit of sense.;)

Well done on the editing job PP and you on the weight loss Lizzie :j

Happy birthday Sparkles - have a good one.

Right time for a cuppa and that nap.

Carry on chatting ladies and of course keep up the fabbing.:D

LL - have a big Welsh Cwch (big cuddle in welsh - you know, the sort your mum did when you were small enough to fit on her lap:)).

Work went well today - did heart dissections with yr 11 who were amazed and revolted at the same time:rotfl:
Just glimpsed my roots in the mirror - not good:eek: Tonight's the night for the dreaded dye.....:(

Some great news today from you all - clothes, birthdays, make up, jobs and exercise - a truely fabby day! Putting me to shame....

Firstly - thank you for all the birthday wishes. I was given a lovely bunch of flowers too from 2 friends at work which was a big surprise!

secondly - LL - I don't know what to say or write apart from I know how this feels as I went through something similar a few years ago and I understand how much this affects your moods. emotions and how much stress it causes even when you think it doesn't. Take care of yourself my dear x

What else? Not too much to report apart from a nice long dog walk in the autumn sun and breeze after work, a night off exercise and an earlier tea and bit of choccie. One more day at work before a lovely day off on Friday shopping trip with mum - looking forward to that. Oh yes, a tidy up haircut tomorrow and hair dye on Friday

not a great deal to report on the fabbing front today. I thought my cold was going but today it's come back with a vengeance, loads of sneezing and feeling generally Yuk.:( Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

I did sort through a huge file of old papers which DH uncovered while sorting through for our 'office' refurbishment. Fortunately, I do most of our paperwork and am generally fairly ruthless at keeping back copies of things but he's a proper squirrel. We did take loads of CDs and vinyl to the Oxfam music shop yesterday too.

I came across this link on another thread and it looks useful.

Good news about the editing pod. I take it that's another potential job on top of the ones you've already got! You're obviously one very talented lady but do be careful not to overdo things.
  • Morning everyone,

I tried to come on last night but the forum had crashed :/

LL - I can only reiterate what everyone has already said, but I do think that it's good to get this stuff of your chest (worst thing you can do is bottle it up). It is nice you make your OH laugh so much.

PP - congratulations on the possible editing opportunity! That would be an amazing job if you get it. :D

    Fedup&skint - happy belated birthday!

Since I last posted, I've been for 2 runs (and my OH was pretty good about stopping to wait for me every now and then...), dyed my hair, whitened my teeth and gone back to work looking less of a scruff than usual.

Next steps...continue the beautifying, more writing (I just had an amazing dream which has given me an idea for another story) & start looking for a new job. :( (I HATE applying for jobs more than anything).

    Have a fab day everyone!

    Morning all,

Lizzie - glad you're enjoying the yoga, hair sounds nice - mine is a kind of dark red at the moment but am thinking am going to redo it soon. The colour's ok but the dye's not left in in great condition.

Sparkles - happy belated birthday, hope you had a lovely day x Mine next week, though don't think will be doing much.

Maman - hope the cold has sodded off for good today :) The editing would be on top of my other stuff as it's only part time at the moment. I'm hoping I will eventually get to the stage where all the bits and bats I have all over will add up to enough for me to be able to leave the day job. Might be a bit manic up to that point but the job is really driving me nuts at the moment, nothing but complaints and stropping off my bosses all week and really can't be bothered with the hassle :(

Cherry - sounds like good progress, have fun with the writing x

So, didn't have the best day yesterday. Horrible day at work, constant nasty email off one of my bosses all day, literally almost into triple figures about either things I'd done wrong or things that had to be done straight away - even though he knew I was in on my own and had to answer the phones and deal with all the engineer problems. I really need to leave soon, it's starting to get to me :(
Went through my editing test last night but am not feeling very confident now as it was really hard! Will double check it today and send back but not going to get my hopes up.
OH is going down to visit family tomorrow for the weekend so will be a bit weird having the house to myself. Will try and use it to get some fabbing and some writing done, plus am meeting a friend for coffee on Sat and going on an organised walk Sunday so will get out a bit.
Hope everyone is having a good day x

Hurrah! The hair dye finally got done last night:j It does look better.
Been for a nice long walk with the dog this evening and have managed to stick to the diet today so far.

Last day at work tomorrow - then I'm off to Wales to help mum clean my late gran's house now the minging tenants have moved out. Its going up for sale so needs a proper good scrubbing. No rest for the wicked;) It can be my good deed for the week - one of my little goals for this challenge.

Had a nice compliment today from 2 of the teaching assistants - they asked where I buy my clothes because I always looked nice. A good ego boost and especially coming from other women.:) They don't see me in a bobble hat and wellies at 6am in the rain with the dog:rotfl:.

Right, I'm off to soak my aching feet in the bath and have a read of my library book - another long day......

The weekend has arrived for me now! Yipee!

Long boring day at work today, then back to zoom around with the dog, squeeze in Ripped in 30 for day 4 (1 more to go!) then take the plunge to go to the new hairdressers

Well, in the shop everything was different, including how they cut and styled my hair. Wasn't too sure about it looking in the mirror there. Pleased with the cost though - at least £5 less and then when I got back home I had a look and thought 'Actually, it looks nice, much nicer than I thought at first!'. Think the hairdresser guessed my uneasiness and told me to ring for another appt after I saw how I get on with it. For how it looks now I think I will go back. Just need to see how it grows back over the next 2mths.

Tomorrow is hair dye day to cover up those pesky silver roots and then off out with mum for the day and then its the big get ready for the night out on Sat
