First shop of October and it cost €94.97! Will need nothing for at least a week, maybe 2 and we will be having some strange meals out of freezer and cupboards to use up stuff that is out of date or nearly so.

Not one, but three trips to MrS today. Its the usual scenario when we are having people over for dinner - I buy the ingredients, OH complains we haven't got enough wine/snacks etc and then there will inevitably be a key ingredient we discover we don't have while cooking. So totalling up today's spends its £38.15 and that's just for tonight and rest of weekend. I'll be doing the weekly shop on Monday.
We're now at £57.84/£200.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Two small shops for me today in A!di and L!dl to get some meat and special offers - £5.10 in A!di and £8.28 in L!dl.
Went round A!di by myself so just got 6 tins of mushy peas, a small chicken, some fruit and fibre and a punnet of half price strawberries hence the fairly low spend.
Wanted some of the half prices sausages in L!dl so picked them up and some gammon but by then my OH had arrived. Into the basket went a bottle of beer and 2 peri peri Nando's sauces. £4.24 I didn't want to spend but he deserves a treat every so often and I like Nando's too.
Don't think we'll need anything in the week apart from bread and milk. Hoping for some NSDs as well or I'm not going to make the challenge without being really frugal.2015 Wins

I know it's a little late, but can I be put down for £130 this month. August and September were a complete write of as I has horrible morning sickness and was eating what i could keep down as and when.
I'm feeling better now so need to try hard in Oct. I've also got a goal of about 5 months (assuming i'm up to it) until i'm off on mat leave and will have a lot less money to work with.Grocery ChallengeJan £129.83/£130 - Feb £130.51/£130- March £138.26/£130 - April £150.16/£130- May £196.78/£130 - June £127.74/£130 - July £133.51/£130 - Aug £132.21/£130- Sept - £78.89/£130 - Oct £165.44/£130 - Nov - £65.30/£1300 -

Can I ask if anyone gose to the shops everyday just to see what YS things are there, and if good deals pick them up, or do most just look for YS as and when they need them, Thanks
