€30 today - lots of fruit and veg and cheese at the market, then bread rolls and a multipack of crisps for lunchboxes. The unexpected upside of filling my freezer last month is that I have no room in it at all, so no buying extra bits to freeze just because the mood hits me.
I've been saving my tesco vouchers up since Spring (the ones for €s/£s off, not the ones for products or extra points) Think I have about €20 worth so far, and will get one more lot at the start of December. Perfect timing for holiday shopping0 -

No I dont freeze in the skins found it too much of a faff to get the skin off without defrosting completely, then get only mush, I skin and chop into pieces and put in a ziplock bag, then I can either use them for smootihes, or particially defrost for pudding or to go with cereal. or make icecream.Slimming World at target0 -

Managed to spend £28 - it could have been a bit less I suppose as I was doing a good impression of a Supermarket Sweep contestantBut that did include £6 worth of dog food so really only £22ish on stuff for me and the house and that includes all food for the week (including packed lunches).
Up to £43ish now with 2 shops done for the month (next shop is next Saturday).
Just wanted to wish you a lovely weekend in Wales.Slimming World at target0 -

Daily accountability for 1st day of the week ( for my 7 day abstinence plan) : no grocery spends today. Did realise that i will need some potatoes this week, but i will make do with what i have because if i go out for potatoes i will spend on other stuff as well. No, i will manage. Just need to keep reminding myself how silly my spending has been getting.
Today we had vegetarian sausage and stirfry fajitas for tea. There is a loaf baking in the panasonic, and I have just had a bowlfull of homemade yoghurt for a snack. My snacks are not usually so healthy!Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I freeze them in the skin. You can't peel them like normal so I cut them into chunks and cut the skin off with a knife as I'm chucking them into the blender anyway for milkshakes. They are really cold on your fingers so I find it a bit of a miserable task. Last time I tried peeling/chopping first and freezing in a food bag but all the bits smushed together into one lump of banana that was hard to work with. I suppose if you let it defrost a bit it would be fine, or of you froze on a tray first then put in the bag.
Had a lovely night out with a friend seeing a play (bargain tickets on a deals website) and a couple of drinks but lost my transport pass which still had three weeks on it - £60 down the drain unless I get it back:(:( last time I lost it (I am a bit careless as you can see
) I did get it back a couple of days later so keep your fingers crossed for me! Still annoying as in the meantime I have to fork out for singles tickets everywhere and it's a waste of cash

Been away from this thread for over a year, and watched my spending creep up and up. Really need to do something about it now before it gets out of control
My recent approach to budgeting has been to save receipts and then tut at myself at how over budget I'd been in the last month
After very expensive month in Sept carwise  am trying not to go into overdraft this month. So, aiming for budget of £100 between now and the end of the month - not sure that's doable, but going to see how close I can get!Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T
Student again now and trying to fight the debts that are creeping up again :eek:0
