Hi all very long time since been here but can't afford not to join in this month

I hope to spend no more then £80 but that's going to be hard but really don't have much else to spend.

Have done a meal plan for the week, doing a Mr T shop online for thurs and hope to get most meal bits, then just need to get basic stuff rest of the month.

We will have a VERY VERY tough month and it's going to be hard on us but it's life just gotta deal with it

Oh and that's for 2 grown ups and 1 toddler (who eats well)

  • Hello everyone. Im so up to my eyes with bits that im not going to read back over the thread, will read from now onwards. Hope everyone is ok. I am going to try for £60 for October, which is nigh impossible for me, not 'cause I need much, but i cant resist a bargain. This is to include everything, including alcohol (!!!). Am going to try really hard.

Please put me down for £220 again. Hope to do better this month. Trying Aldi and also because this is my 2nd month stocking up I actually have a few non-perishables in my cupboard. I don't think I can use many of the recipes lsted here because I am intolerant to many things: mik, wheat, yeast, corn, gluten, and a bunch of other things.
At the same time I am learning to plan meals and take a list with me and keeping track of things...:p

  • Went out tonight - spent £14.30 in Garfunkels and then £6 on two drinks for me and my friend :) so total food spend today of £20.30, not bad for a night out.

did leek and potato soup last night, really tasty and filling

not sure what to do tonight as boys eat early and me and DH end up not eating til late so dont like a big meal just before bed.

    Morning,
just read your post and was wondering if you would mind sharing your meal plan with me? we are three here as well and my budget is sooo much more than yours but would love to get it down more.
I dont think I could get it that much down though but would love to see your plan and maybe your shoppinglist if that is not too much trouble?
Thanks and good luck this month.

  • Its been about a year since i last participated in the grocery challenge. Money is now tighter than ever as thanks to the APG glitch and bad stock take, loads of hours have been cut at work so am down to my 18hr instead of my usual 30 hour week. Thanks to those people who abused it.

Anyway, My budget for October is £50.

I may be leaving ASDA soon, so my budget may rise to compensate for losing my staff discount.
