  • Well I've been away for a long weekend so my spends came out of hol money but was pleasantly surprised at hubbys spends at the weekend, £2.46 on fruit & 30p on YS bread (yes really, thats all!) - should let him be in charge more often! (although I did also leave him some lovingly prepared home made meals). Also a £1 spend on milk last night so can declare underbudget!! woop woop.

    See you all in November....

    Hi, Happy Halloween all GCers.

Last few receipts to add up and I'm declaring for October at £219/£200 so about 10% over. But there was the Halloween party to cater for.

I'm making OH eyeball pasta tonight - always do something silly for halloween http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/12856/eyeball-pasta

    See you in November

    Haha love it!

Have been a bit AWOL as its OH's week to d the shopping/cooking. He's spent over his target but takes extra out of his own money. So I might as well declare at £220/£220 (Rounded up as I was less than £1 under and can't remember exactly) as November begins tomorrow but won't have any spends until Sunday :)

Thinking of aiming for £210 next month, a very small reduction but it is getting increasingly difficult to cut back further! Have a busy weekend planned to not sure when I'll do my usual baking/shopping/soup making routine lol.

    Hi all,

Im still here plodding along in the background... and thankfully still under budget :D

I have had some small spends but cant remember if I have included them in my posts already! I will need to go back and check then update my signature.

Receipts all in my purse though until Im sure Ive counted them

    £1.15 - Mushrooms
£4.30 - Crisps for school and fruit + Bday card and cake

I do need milk but other than that I think Im ok for a few days. My budget though is until the 10th and it seems soooo far away with so little budget left

    Total spend £238.55
    Left to spend £11.45

    Feb GC £48.02/£250 (£201.98)
:D I will declutter my house and debts :D
  • Ended on £165.87 from budget of £200.00 :-) The freezer is now totally empty bar half a bag of oven chips and some streaky bacon though so next month won't be quite so cheap! Thankfully still lots in the store cupboards so maybe a more vegetarian month for November.

I spent £42 yesterday which means I have gone over budget.... however I did this on purpose cos I needed to spend over £40 in order to achieve an xmas voucher so I'm not disheartened. Spent my extra spends wisely on 4 packs of reduced Lishman's sausage for only 75p each and got loads of stock cupboard things so got things that I know will be useful.

Declaring a total spend of £52.94 for October, so I'm over by £3.94. However, the reason the budget was so low for October was that I had spent part of the budget on 30 September (which shows a huge overspend). Overall, I cut down from £150 which was always going to be tricky for the first month, and then cut £1 a week thereafter, until it was comfortably at £140 by November. I've averaged £145 so I'm as chuffed as a chuffed thing even though the figures look a bit grim. Doing the GC has stopped me spending a great deal more, with £5 here and £5 there on a regular basis. Brilliant.
    Better is good enough.

Well my total spend for October was £176.41 out of a budget of £165, so I have gone over this month. Never mind, to try and try again in November!

Just added up my totals (using bank statement as ALL spends are accurate then).... I finished October at £171.94/£150 so £21.94 over. Not disheartened at all as needed to spend over £40 last week to collect my Xmas voucher and I've had a really good stock cupboard month = bulging cupboards = one happy becks!!!!
    See you in Nov xxx
