In budget this month, total spend of £50.28. Will slightly reduce the budget for next month, to £60 while still trying to stock up on a few christmas-y foodstuffs. Will be challenging because so far I've not had to buy any toiletries (still had a few from various very cheap offers earlier in the year) and my cupboards are running a bit low. On the upside I have a fair bit of mince, chicken breast, fish fillets, fish fingers and sausages in the freezer. I also still have 5 frozen meals (home cooked) for when I don't feel like cooking. So bring on November! :D

  • Another quick update for me getting close to my limit for the month but felt i got some good bargins today at mr Ms when u look closer buying loose carrots and onions actually cost me nearly half per kilo less and i got to pick out the better quality ones. Just because they tell u 70p for 500g is a bargin don't believe them especially when u can pick out 500g for 45p loose.

I'm glad i paid attention in maths! There truely is a price to pay for convience.

Anyway £12.75 paid for a few treats and esentials for this week and should take me nicely into Novembers budget.
Consolidated and under control 42 payments to go.

Got back from holiday yesterday and spent £25 in tesco.

Need to go to sainsburys tomorrow to buy nappies but I don't mind if that takes me over budget x

  • Had a friend staying last weekend bought a few pieces in, with the odd lunch on the run (don't include dinner out in restaurants, but sandwiches on the go count) but it meant I didn't have a chance to update my spreadsheet and I didn't hold on to my receipts either, so have no idea where my total stands this month now!

I reckon I'm probably a few £££s over my budget just now, but have no need to buy any more food for a few days. It has been a very eye opening first month though, seeing how the odd £5 here and there (that you normally forget spending) adds up.

Looking forward to starting next month a fresh!

It's the start of OH's week, and he normally has £55 to spend. If he spent that much, we'd be over budget, as he bought some bits on Saturday that could have waited, but he agreed to add these int his week, s he ow has £48 to spend. I'm sure he'll spend it all. Any overspends come out of his account so I'll be bang on this month. However it was quite tight as we could have been over very easily. I want to reduce my target again next month so will need to work hard!

I'm declaring for October at £462. Most of the £12 over budget caused by OH

Oh well, will try harder in November!

morning, well alas i have to report that i went over my £200 limit and am even more ashamed to say i don't know by how much:eek: i think i have gone over by about 20 quid but lost some receipts and forgot to add in some luxuries i also "forgot" about (£10 on nice toiletries and £6 on proper vanilla extract etc)

on the plus side though i have lots of soup in the freezer and i am confident that I WILL keep to my budget for november!

Oh dear! I am another who has gone over budget and goodness knows by how much by! I am so disorganised this month I don't even know where all the shopping receipts are :(

Circumstances this month has meant that I have not been on the boards so much, but things should get calmer and I will be around more in November.
