Lovely gift! But the MSE in me says you could buy all those separately for much less...
You're probably right! But sadly I live overseas so while the cost of assembling it myself would be cheaper, I'm fairly sure the postage wouldn't be (and that's assuming it got there and the French posties didn't nick it first :D ).

Sounds like that's a fairly resounding yes then!

I'll let you all know if she gives any feedback as I see there are no reviews on the site for the product at the moment :)
  • Yes, I would have loved it. With both of my children, I hardly had any "me" gifts, just lots of baby clothes so I'd have loved you forever! Very thoughtful and even if some of the sweets and chocolates aren't to her particular taste, she will no doubt have loads of visitors to share them with so I'd have thought it would be well received.

I've had 3 kids and don't recall ever getting a nice gift just for me so to get something like that would be very much appreciated.

As you say, everyone can tuck in and share so I'm sure they will love it :)

I would love to get that in the post tomorrow. And I am not even pregnant or recently delivered, but when I was either of those things, I would have loved it even more :D

I thought at first it was a lovely gift, but on second thoughts, it is a bad time to give mum all that fattening chocolate when all she wants to do is get rid of the bump (and the rest of the fat we have accumulated during pregnancy) So no, its a gift that I personally would give or appreciate in the long term
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • I'd have loved it! Would still love it, any day of the week.

I can see mckneff's point re baby weight, but to be honest I wasn't even thinking about losing the baby weight for a good few weeks...months :o so I'd have loved a box of choccie treats. But I am a greedy mare.
