It's a lovely gift. Sometimes, the only thing that keeps you going after a night of feeding a screechy baby is copious amounts of chocolate! :D

Or would you prefer a different gift?

I have never had children so don't know what kinds of gifts are appreciated on the birth of a little one.

I don't live anywhere close to my friend so cannot help out in any practical way (childcare, cooking a few meals etc) unfortunately.

Any suggestions or comments would be fab! Thanks :)

God yes, if you bought me that i'd be your bestest friend forever! If your friend is a choccie fan then this will be much appreciated and would make a welcome change from the usual. Its nice also to be able to share this with hubby and other children (and if its too much she can offer them out to visitors).
  • Ummm yes I would have loved that ! Its true that mum and dad often get forgotten and I found that everyone bought new baby clothes as well. That meant more clothes than a newborn really needed - some hardly got worn. I am buying for a friends baby soon - plan to get a sleeping bag age 3-6 months to use when the winter comes. Practical and will get used loads.

I would love this gift OP! I got nothing at all just for me when I had my baby and this would have been really appreciated! I am a huge chocolate lover though! Its a fab idea for a pressie and even if it is a lot of chocolate for somebody, there is no rule saying you have eat it all straight away! :)

Yes! Brilliant gift. I couldn't have bubble baths due to stitches and was advised to have nothing at all, just water in my bath/showers. Once I'd healed I had no time for them  I'd have loved all that chocolate! Yummy.

Lovely gift! But the MSE in me says you could buy all those separately for much less...
