Well (to be honest) yes there is. I suspect you grew up saving places in the dinner queue for anyone that came along.

If you cant see it then don't worry about it, I will never be able to explain it to you.

Lets hope you and your pal both actually use them :)

I'm going to jump in here too. I got two too, only on the basis I thought I'd screwed the first one up. I gave it away to someone on here, and had no intention of wanting it to go to waste.

Just a note of observation, your manner on here is incredibly negative, negative things happen to negative people (there was a whole programme by Derren Brown on it), have a positive outlook in life and good things will happen. We created our own luck by getting those codes, by refreshing incredibly often.

How do you know the codes will be released at 5.30 when you have no access? You don't you are just being negative.

Change your outlook and quit your moaning! :D
  • it was no pal and i agree it is unfair to everyone, i missed out last week, and i hate the if you can't beat em join em attitude but it seems to be the way nowadays.

I can see what you mean. would be better for mse to accept email addresses at a specific time and allocate the first 1500 emails a codewhich is emailed back.
  • Bored sat here pressing F5 waiting for the next 1500 to go online!
My debts at 11th April 2011:
    Virgin Credit Card - [STRIKE]£1,900[/STRIKE] £1,500 (21.1% paid off)
    Nationwide Authorised OD - [STRIKE]£2,000 [/STRIKE] £1,500 (25% paid off)
Student Loan - exact amount TBC but circa £5,000

    I'm on the road! :T
  • we help each other on this board, end of.
  • other thing is its obviously an earner for sky so why not have unlimited codes to be used by a specific date. that would totally eliminate the ebayers on here. In the mean time sky gain loads of new customers.

Not only have i switched my virgin tv i have given them my phone and bb fibre too so its a winner for sky.

Virgin in my area is over 150% over subscribed and my 60 meg is nigh on useless from 4 til 10pm.

This would involve too much work for MSE to resource, I think.

    Aha - and another one!

So lets do some simple maths.

There were 1500 codes available, but lets assume there were taken up by 'Billy Nomates' or 'Tech Nophobe' that means actually potentially only 750 people got one. Now as you rightly point out some of those have indeed found a place on here to offload their surplus, but I'll bet not everyone. So in reality the majority will simply go to waste.

As I said, earlier, if you don't understand then its not worth continuing the debate, so I will jump out of that now.

Regarding my negativity; interesting analogy but wrong, I am simply stating my thoughts on why the whole thing which, on this particular occasion are indeed negative.

I'll leave you to it now as no doubt you will be wanting to concentrate on refreshing your browser to grab a few more codes....
  • Missed out 2 times, hopefully might get one :)
  • No point in turning this into an excuse for personal attacks/ criticism people!
I think MSE/Sky has been rightly criticised for the manner in which they've set the offer up. However, that's not going to change by criticising those who've admitted to receiving more than one code or by responding that someone who hasn't caught the free-for-all is just "negative".
  • No I do agree there, the Ebayers and people that waste them are wrong, I just thought you were attacking someone who was going to ensure use was made of the two codes.

It's a shame that MSE cant have "registrations" then out of those a code gets sent to 1500 of them. That seems the fairest way and is what people like Radio One are doing etc.

I do genuinely hope there are people that are not wasting the codes as I was gutted when I missed out last week.
