Worked so late this evening, so feeling tired and hungry - currently balancing a plate of pasta whilst typing and managed to spill some on the lap-top....nice.

On the money front, I think I have finally sorted out my tax code (I've been on 211L for ages - all very complicated however it's been:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: for me for ages, so although not fully rectified to the 8105L (or whatever the figure is), at least it will be slightly less:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Oh, checked on eb*y and I have 1 watcher, yes folks I think it's gonna go crazy wild with bidding wars this weekend:p

I'll finish pasta tea, then do diary catch-up. Lula - I am relying on you to cheer me up with your spends:D

See you on your diaries X

Pleased the tax code is getting sorted, every extra helps.
  • Nah, just stick with your list. Ive had various household items as gifts over the years (dyson, food mixer, etc) but have also bought for DH step ladder, loft ladder, drill, sander, grinder...
My friends mum bought her an iron one year, she was NOT happy! Although saying that my mum bought a hand held hoover once

Hi BW - yes, have been working late, the term leading up to Christmas has been particularly busy for me. I am hoping that all my hard work is rewarded;)
I am very lucky in that I love my job and as I am the only person 'doing' this particular role I have complete autonomy and a great boss (a salary increase would of course be welcome, however in this current climate I would be bucking the trend).

My eb*y re-lists aren't taking anyone's fancy - well apart from one watcher, so I will look out more bits and bobs for further listing.

On other money front, things are soooooo tight so real finance overhaul is in order this weekend as I haven't made any further O/Ps since the beginning of this month, which, let's face it, should be the whole purpose of this diary!

I hope everyone has a good day, I'd best scoot as have a WHOLE DAY meeting to co-host.....aaaaarrrrgghhhhhhhhhhh

PS. Hopefully catch up with diaries this evening.

Good luck with your eBaying NP! My biggest gripe about eBay is a crappy comment in the feedback about postage charges....as far as I'm concerned people bid knowing the postage charge, I don't add anything on at checkout - so if they are too high for you when you see the listing...please don't bid! (muppets!).

I always swear "that's the last time I'm bothering with eBay" but invariably always end up with some "treasure" to sell on there again a few months later :D
  • Im still not got enough seller ratings to show up, but think I have 9 at present. People seem very reluctant to feedback but i always do, as its seems a decent thing to do.

I always really carefully describe items quite negatively, as I would rather sell something for 99p then sell for £5 but person feels scammed. Recently sold a desk, described very carefully, "in a right state" "had years" "needs lots of tlc" but DH said lady didnt look impressed when came to collect, not sure what she expected, photo'ed to show state as well and was only a few quid. Although to be fair she did give us positive feedback
