As odd as his take on Willy Wonka is... just makes me think of Johnny Depp and chocolate.... just think of the fun you could have with them together!0 -
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I don't know if any of my Scottish buds (edinburgher / ajmoney?) listened to Radio Scotland this morning. There was an interesting report on people who are 'mortgage prisoners' - people who cannot shift provider, either due to negative equity or poor credit rating
I didn't hear that natty - we listen to Heart like a pair of soft Southern ponces :rotfl:
That said, I did read an article on the Telegraph about it and a blog posting looking at the topic. It is a shame, but there were a raft of different circumstances quoted that could have led to people being unable to move.
Emotive headline *mortgage prisoners* aside, it seemed to be a real mix of people who were entirely blameless or pretty much planned badly. I think people in the UK are emotionally anchored to the concept of the value of their home and can't accept the fact that this can go down as well as up.
Hopefully the new rules around mortgage lending will help to promote a wee bit of common sense around what we afford, expect and think of when we're buying a *home*
Rant over
Ps. Have you ever seen the figures for how many UK mortgages are interest-only? They are terrifying!0
