Natty's Kicking her Mortgage in the Pants Diary
Comments

I think the scary thing about mortgage is that so many people are struggling right now for money and there is only one way the interest rates can go... (probably right in time for my 5 year fix to end no doubt!!) - it is terrifying to think how those people will cope then if they are only just making interest only repayments0

I heard someone at my work say that she wanted to buy her mother's council house as it was worth £100K. The area is which this is located, she would be lucky if house was valued at £50K and her own property (again ex-council) was purchased for £100K circa 2006 125% mortgage over 35 years, and her current mortgage? £119K!!!!!!!
This individual is insistent that house values only go up...eh??? hello!!!!
Meanwhile someone else, who has real delusions of grandeur, rented out her flat in order to rent a large house in a nice area. She relies on credit and is in a fair amount of debt, so decided to sell her flat (not in a particularly nice area). The flat was valued at £62K and she's looking to achieve circa £70K!!!!!
Honestly, you couldn't make this stuff up!!February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

On non-mortgage related, non-barbour-jacket related, and non- Christmas-related news, I have done something to my back/front whilst putting washing on:( I think I felt a 'pop' followed by sharp pain which is still circling my upper torso:(:(:(:( Is this a pulled or torn muscle do you think?
I have taken two paracetamol and am feeling _pale__pale__pale_
Hopefully will ease off soon, pain is now feeling 'burning':(February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Morning
I wouldn't know what you may have damaged hun but it doesn't sound good. Do you have a hot water bottle (or hot wheat) bag you can put on the area to see if it helps?
Sending you hugs x0 -
Thanks BW - I have my HWB and swapping it over from back to front. I'm looking through diaries to help me take my mind of it, and not feeling as _pale_ as I was so maybe things will start to ease over the next wee while.
On the plus side, I can legitimately do NO house-work:DFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Thanks to my poorly back I have almost had a NSD today (with the exception of a newspaper this morning, pre-injury:D). I always feel:j if manage no or low-spends on a Saturday as this in the past, would be my spendie day.
Also, as I appear to have cracked my magazine habit, I am going to increase my regular mortgage O/P standing order by another £5.
Spending my time watching old LLLs on More4 and going to go all 'Nigel Slater' for tea-time by having whatever I can russell up from fridge/cupboard ingredients...only me and pooch, as my son is going to Edinburgh and daughter at a party so I can make whatever without any noses being turned up:DFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Well done on increasing your regular OP :T
Good Lord - doesn't she understand how mortgages are meant to work? You'd struggle to find many council houses in Glasgow worth spending £100k on - a few well built estates in Knightswood etc., but nothing too stunning.

Dahling - if you're going to go all Slatery-poo on us, at least call it 'supper' :rotfl:0 -
Natty - how are you feeling? Hopefully the pain isn't so bad and you're ok..... L xx0

Thank you lula X
I am very gingerly moving around as although the pain has eased, every so often I feel a twinge and a few hours ago I moved position and the pain took my breath away - ouchie, ouchie:(
But....guess what???? I checked eb*y and one of my re-listed items had a bid on the £2.99 start price, but is now at £15!!!!!! and the weirdest thing is 8 of the bids have been made consecutively by the same bidder - one after another - in that he/she is bidding against themselves?????? The £15 bid has been made by the first £2.99 starting price bidder.
Someone must be feeling sorry for me:DFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

When you are on the screen that shows you the consecutive bids, hit the button to the right that says 'show automatic bids' i think you'll see more appear in between your consecutive bids.
And wowzer...good sale:)0
